One of my favourite Holiday movies! HOME ALONE released in 1990. Showing it to Clariss for her first time watching reaction.

CONTEXT

When bratty 8-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) acts out the night before a family trip to Paris, his mother (Catherine O'Hara) makes him sleep in the attic. After the McCallisters mistakenly leave for the airport without Kevin, he awakens to an empty house and assumes his wish to have no family has come true. But his excitement sours when he realizes that two con men (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern) plan to rob the McCallister residence, and that he alone must protect the family home.

NOTE

Just click on the 'Sync' link, the full-length reaction has been split into 2 parts. You can either download the file or stream it. The bigger the file the more time it might take to load so give it a couple seconds if streaming. If experiencing issues, might be a little temporary issue for whatever reason so just wait 1h or so and try again should work. If issues persist contact me and i'll look into it.

The movie's audio is all over the place, some scenes are crazy quite (low dialogue), and some very loud (action scenes)! If you have trouble hearing some scenes let me know, if it's most of the movie just let me know and i'll find a way to reedit it to make the audio louder.

If memory serves me correctly, the McCallister house is the same house that Monica and Chandler buy in Friends.

I had an aunt who hated this movie so much that she once offered me $20 to stop watching it at her house. I took the cash, of course...I could just watch it later at home. 🤣

Actually, unless you have arachnophobia, or you got the tarantula illegally, it's not a big deal if it's out of the terrarium, since all venomous animals distributed for sale need to get devenomized (not sure if that's a word, but you get what I'm saying). Also, as Clariss said, they're practically harmless to humans (their venom is less potent than a bee's).

Also, have you heard of the theory that says Kevin McCallister grew up to be The Jigsaw Killer?

Loving the outfit coordination you two are looking good! This movie always holds up, it was fun to watch with new people.
