BrowserAssist Alpha1 Release (Patreon)

BrowserAssist is intended to be an alternative to the VAM Scene Browser, but with more advanced filtering and searching capabilities (such as by Creator). Additionally it wont be limited to browsing just Scene files. The same browser will allow searching and loading other VAM resource/file types such as Appearance, Clothing and Pose Presets and potentially loads more. There will eventually be the ability to have user defined Tags (similar to VAM clothing Tags) for all resource types.

This initial alpha has the following features and limits:

• The Browser only works in VAM Desktop mode currently. VR mode support will follow.
• The Browser can currently only be opened from the Plugin UI or by binding to a key combination using AcidBubbles KeyBindings plugin
• Only browses Scene or Appearance Presets currently
• No Tag or folder filters implemented
• Sorting is limited to Alphabetical. I have limited options available for date sorting. Meshed has locked plugins from being able to read created and modified file dates as part of the wider security limitations. As an alternative I will use the date that the plugin first scans a file as its date stamp.
• Select Mode options are currently Instant or Single. I aim to have a multi select option eventually. There's limited purpose to the Single mode currently, but there will be feature such as setting tags etc that can be performed on resources without loading them.
• There is an initial startup process that can take some time. Some output stats are produced on the log to record the timings. I'm interested to see how it performs on different machines as I may be able to refine the processing times. I'll provide a feedback area on my Discord channel for people to feedback their stats.
