Here's the "why are you doing this to me?" pair to the Wraith :D
The Pouncer was also tossed at me for a redesign job. Such a terrible looking mech. However, I was able to confirm that the old head was on the block for a full nuke job. In fact, my first head iteration was more faithful than this one, but more change was requested to I pushed it more. Now it's much more akin to an Adder head.

The rest of the mech was a lot easier to update from there. Along with the source Pouncer material I also pulled in bits of Adder, Linebacker, and Timberwolf as they share visual elements, design history, or omnipod parts.

I think the result is a good looking mech, it was just a drastic trail to get there.
Will you run this more or less than its old ball headed brother?

I knew this would happen!

Oh boy! Looks great.

now….a Phantom!

Much better! Can't wait to see the 3D render.

This looks so good!

A vast improvement, Matt Plog did what he could to save the original art, but this redesign of the Fat Panther is lovely. Hopefully you'll also do the Phantom, that's another one that needs help being saved.

Love this new look definitely run it more

It looks fantastic. Bravo!

This is one of the handful of designs I've been waiting for since the *very beginning* of this whole process, since y'all started officially (re)designing mechs for BT. I've wanted to love the Pouncer so, so, so much and just never could because... well... yeahhhhhh. This is beautiful. I am so happy. I will be first in line to buy one.

I like this a lot more than the older version! That said, I still think the Cougar does the same role better, but it's still nice to have options!

Looks great, I definitely see it as a “super adder” Would Love to see the Phantom as well as that tended to be a Elemental carrier for me in the past.

What an ugly goofy sculpt this was, glad of the rework. I'm very curious to what a Phantom would look like, it was quite ugly as well but in a way that for some reason didn't bother me as much.

So glad this got a redesign. I really really hope that there’s another round of plastics!! I like the new designs going to iron wind so at least some are being made but I hate hate hate metal minis…I need more plastic crack! Great job on this one. It really needed an update

I've used Pouncers a lot. With this version, I'd use them even more.

I could barely tell what this mech was when I first saw it. I can understand getting rid of the orb, but I think it needed more of the Pouncer/Adder torso "hood" look to it.

Love it times 3!!

Talk about a glow-up. The original was just too goofy, from the hose arms to the hooves. I like this much better, and would love a Phantom to match, hopefully saved from its weirdly bloated torso.

I’m into it! Love that you incorporated elements of other mechs to it without it becoming a frankenmech. Looking forward to running a couple in a Wolf Trinary

This looks so much better than the previous one. Well done. I ran the previous one, but I never liked the aesthetics. Now I'll run it a lot more. Looking forward to painting it up and getting it on the table.

Anonymous

That’s a hell of an improvement!

Anonymous

Great improvement on that mech

Anonymous

it's not in my top 10, but at least it's a miniature I'd own now. Phantom and Naga next?

Anonymous

Such a massive improvement in the appearance compared to the old version. Hats off to you for this one man.

Aaron Thurston

This looks great! I always liked the Pouncer and disliked the Naga and Phantom. I'm curious if your team's work on the other 2 will change my mind about them. Which mechs do you really want to work on that you haven't had a chance to yet.

Look how it looks, but would really love to see a different loadout than the prime. I know the model doesn't have to match the loadout, but it would be nice to showcase it as more than just an Adder with jump jets.

Those are some of my favorites, after the original unseen and ones from the cartoon (Bushwacker, Axman, Centurion, Mauler, Wolfhound, Awesome). MW4 renewed my interest in Battletech. One of my favorite Mechs (top 5) is the Hellhound from MW4. Is there any chance of seeing the MW4 version of the Hellhound again? Possibly as a new mech instead of the Conjurer / Wolverine IIC, since the redesign is already done and looks great. Or is the chance of seeing the MW4 design for the Hellhound out of the realm of possibility?

This is a very sharp improvement. I would definitely run this one more in my games and be more willing to paint up the miniature. To be fair I didn't hate the old ball headed version though. I am really looking forward to what you do with the Phantom.
