Well, cat's finally out of the bag on this one. All wave two kickstarter shipments are coming with a Shilone miniature.

Here's the sketch I worked up for it.

This is a special case where it was to be a miniature from the start, though we've also done a few vehicle designs needed for illustrations too.

So nice to see an aerospace fighter. Battletech is such a diverse game, I hope a bit more energy is spent on adding units other than mechs to the plastic options that have been developed thus far.

I have asked on the kickstarter, but I figured I would ask here since you are the guy that drew up this beauty of a redesign. Have you heard any plans from CGL to sell this model on shelves? or is it a KS only thing, it would be sad if it was the latter. I would love to field a wing of these aerospace units on airfeilds for decoration or as combat units.

I'm betting CGL will find a way to sell it somewhere. It's extremely expensive to tool up the miniature and give thousands away for free. I don't really know myself, but I'd expect to see it at conventions and the CGL webstore.

I hope so, either way I can't wait to get my hands on the free one they are packaging regardless of when the deliveries arrive. Once again, you've done a classic design justice and I cant wait to see what else you can give the modern-yet-classic treatment ^^

Though I absolutely love what you've done with the Shilone, I'm kind of sad right now Tyra Miraborg didn't pilot a Slayer instead. It's my all time favorite BattleTech fighter and I would love to see it get the Kickstarter treatment.

The we can look into other ASFs... Lightning, Mechbuster, Tomahawk, Corsair, Gotha, Rapier, Hammerhead.... etc...

I really like the new art for this fighter, but this fighter is not one of my favorites. However, I totally understand why it was chosen as the kickstarter extra given the historical significance tied to the clans in universe. Will we get to see concept sketches for some of the other popular aerospace fighters for the clans and IS any time in the near future?
