Hey everyone!

Sorry for week of radio silence. Honestly it's been a really busy week full of reflection.

We're working hard on finalizing 3.1 which should really make CK2 Act I a lot more well rounded. I'm also using this time to reflect on where we've come with College Kings and how many things I'd do differently now in hindsight. My biggest qualms are with the way we produce the parts/acts. They're not well enough planned out, we have a lot of different things going on and also doing it in parts for patreon and in acts for steam has been counterproductive.

My goal is to make some key changes around how we develop and produce College Kings that should:
- Make us more efficient, meaning more content output from us
- Allow long term planning and a clear vision, meaning coherent storylines and impactful choices
- Give Patrons more frequent preview builds and the ability to give more feedback and input

I'm still working out all the kinks of the how exactly we're going to do it, but College Kings is here to stay and that means that it's better we take our time and get it right now, than keep stumbling over flaws that (almost always) stem from my own inexperience in game development.

Ultimately I want us to do a few things very well instead of so many things mediocrely, which means we might also discontinue some of our less successful ideas.

I wanted to use this post to gather your opinion on the voice acting. It was initially introduced as a Patreon Goal, but with limited resources, we feel that we can't get it much better than it is now without substantial time and money investment, which we don't believe is worth it compared to using that time and money in other areas. Right now voice acting does not cost us a lot of time or money to do, but we've had a lot of people complain about the quality not living up to their expectations.

I'd love to hear whether you think we should continue voice acting as is or discontinue it. Feel free to leave more detailed responses in the comments, thank you!

- Steve

Lithari

I think either go the route of Pixelfade and do full on voice acting for all scenes (which i know, will cost you money) or do not do it at all.

Lots a LOUD

I didn't mind the voice acting. not all characters had it though which was a shame
