Smoke rises from a woven straw hut that sits upon stilts in the center of a boggy pool. Wooden walkways span around the small building's perimeter and extend to either end of the muck, connecting the opposing patches of solid ground.

A campfire fights against the humidity, crackling and hissing as it lets off nearly as much steam as smoke. The obscuring plumes about the fire are disorienting and cause your eyes to water and your lungs to burn, but the bugs are at least kept at bay.

Your boots tug at your feet as you struggle to pull each footstep from the suction of deep mud. What vaguely resembles a trail turns around a small tree to reveal an abandoned wagon. Its wheels sit firmly entrenched a nearly a foot into the sinking soil.

Pools of shallow water sit full of settled silt and thick algae. Tall grasses and spiny shrubs emerge from the muddy soil, housing countless of frogs and chirping insects who sing a shrill song as you slowly trudge through the challenging terrain.
