I love the casting for Caroline and her mother Liz - they legit look like mother and daughter, I remember being so taken aback finding out that Liz has brain cancer. It's such a human condition, that we can all relate to in this world of vampires, witches and werewolves. I love that you were digging Kai this episode. I wonder if he will win you over haha.

I started to comment this after watching but had a pet emergency. I was going to say that I am not a big fan of Kai either, I just think he's funny sometimes and has a select few badass moments. Absorbing the magic barrier is one of those moments. Also they do mention in a previous episode that their dad believes his ability to absorb magic makes him stronger than Jo, and that's why he started having more kids to try for another set of twins
