I finally found the time to watch this reaction and I am sooo ready to go on this amazing journey of discovering The Shield with you! For me it's pretty difficult to name like my favourite Band, Book, Movie or TV Show but The Shield might just be my number 1. I haven't re-watched it as often as I did with TO and other shows, but that's because it is just so damn dark and gritty and you just need time to digest what you have seen. With TO you can just jump right into the next episode, no problem. I watched this show when I was still in school, about 15 or so years ago. It was the first ever show I watched together with my best friend. This show started our tradition that we still have, even after all this time. So it has a special place in my heart. This show, even though it's not very well known, is extremely highly rated on rotten tomatoes and imdb. And that's for a reason. For its time it was absolutely groundbreaking. It re-defined television and what can be shown on screen. Like there are literally zero taboos in that show. And I appreciate that. Something else I love about that show, and it's in stark contrast to shows like TVD,TO,White Collar and so many others, is that it's not sexy and slick. It just feels more real. Yeees, Walton Goggins is PHENOMENAL. I read somewhere that Quentin Tarantino enjoyed The Shield and espeically Shane (Walton Goggins character on the show so much that he casted him in some of his films! And thank you to the Patron who chose this TV Show!! Whoever you are, you have fantastic taste :D
