You probably know this by now, but The Expanse is based on a book series. This episode is the end of the TV season, but the end of the first book is the 2x06 episode. That's why there are so many dangling plot threads right now: we're still somewhere in the middle of the book. (EDIT: As mentioned in a reply below, the end of book 1 is 2x04-2x05. Thanks for the correction!)

Yeah, I really like the unusual structure of the first few seasons. Later on when it becomes more one book = one season things start to feel a little predictable.

2x05 actually. 2x04 and 2x05 should be watched together as the ending of book 1, it's kind of a 2-part finale.
