I love this series just because it's world is imperfect, like ours. It still has evil and suffering but also selfishness and pride and honour. I first saw this series when my country had just regained its independence, but the threat of losing it has never gone totally away. Especially now that the war in Ukraine has started. So the plight of the Narns, and especially G'Kar, seemed particularly close to my heart from the very first viewing.

Regarding your question about the jump points being different colors - I think the show's original idea was blue (entry into hyperspace) and orange (exiting hyperspace) although this is not consistent throughout. It's never properly explained or expanded upon in the show but it's more or less suggested (in episode 1 i think?) that the blue/orange jump portal technology is Vorlon in origin. I wouldn't read up on that further until you are at least at season 4 though as it might potentially create spoilers.
