Where Is My Mind?- Thank you very much for another marvelous reaction for Rush, Clint! I really love this episode. And with every episode, I can't help but love Tom Ellis more and more. I completely agree with you about his charisma, charm, and character... as both Rush and especially as Lucifer. I love him! And yes... I cannot believe this show only lasts for one season, only ten episodes. It's so sad. It most certainly deserved to see beyond just its one season. Like for you... this episode's beginning causes me to have a panic attack too. It's absolutely crazy, and I love it!! And I feel so bad for Rush. I mean... it's of course his own fault for making the mistake he does with his stepmother, who is most definitely more interested in Rush than he is in her, and it's so creepy. However, I do feel bad for him. He's angry with his father, who is a real jerk, and their relationship is beyond strained. And his stepmother only continues to feed on his rage and anger towards his father, and now on his fear over what they've done, only causing his panic to worsen. Rush made this mistake, but you can see that he does truly and deeply regret doing so. And he's worried about ruining his sister's life as well, which makes his guilt all the worse. Once again... I love Eve's story throughout this episode as well. I love seeing Rush continue to act protective of her upon learning that the flowers she is given are from J.P., which is terrible. And while Rush is kind of awful towards Eve throughout this episode when he continues to send Eve all over for different tuxes, you can still see that Eve does what she does for him, even on her day off, because she is genuinely grateful to Rush for truly caring about her enough to put everything aside for her to protect her from her ex. I love each of the side storylines as we see Rush treat his patients throughout this episode. First, the old woman, whom I feel so badly for, as well as his friend's father, and the cop in the bar who was stabbed with a pool cue. I most certainly worried that the old woman would commit suicide after Rush turns her down upon not knowing how he can possibly help her, but thankfully, Rush returns later to help her in the best possible way, and I love seeing how kind and gentle he is with her while he's pretending to remove the words from beneath her skin. More than this... I love the moment she begins talking about how these worms will only get worse and worse if they're not treated, while Rush reads between the lines and takes her words to mean so much more. As he realizes he really needs to talk to someone about his mistake in order to help him move beyond his fear and panic. Next... I enjoy seeing how good Rush is to Manny's father at their party, and I love that Rush is willing to drive all the way out to Manny's home to treat him for him as a favor from one friend to another. And then... I love the scene between Rush and the cops inside the bar, when Rush must treat one of the cops who had been stabbed with a pool cue after his partner attacked him for sleeping with his wife, or girlfriend. It's rough, but it's amazing seeing Rush treat his patients in all the ways we see him work throughout this show. Unfortunately, it's in this moment once he's finished helping the cop... that Rush has an outright panic attack that causes him to pass out. Thankfully, he comes to quite quickly, which is good. Alex is definitely taking a lot more risks than he should, especially after getting so lucky with his first indiscretion. He needs to stop, but I do appreciate that Alex helps his friend at the hospital who is losing her brother to his disease. It's very sweet. And lastly... I enjoy Rush's imitations of James Bond, first with Eve once he shows himself off in his new tux, and then in the ending at the movie premiere with the actress when he introduces himself to the press and media, saying Rush... William Rush, just like how James Bond always introduces himself. I think Rush was trying to imitate Daniel Craig's portrayal of James Bond, because he and Eve talk about him looking like Daniel Craig a few times, but to me... I think Rush sounds more like Sean Connery just like you thought too. :) Overall... this is a great episode! Thank you very much once again, Mega! I am excited for you to continue watching this incredible show, and I love how much you love and recognize Tom Ellis' phenomenal acting talents! Thank you! Sincerely, Heidi
