Hello Mega. Thank you for another excellent reaction to Fringe. You are right, this show is definitely more graphic than others. It goes deep into scientific theories and gives them an unique spin. Its very like old X-Files episodes and has a similar structure. While X-Files mythology episodes were about aliens, Fringe has a different mythology, their monster of the week ones are following a similar pattern, epic, creepy and awesome. I don't know if you watched or remember X-Files all that well but Fringe is definitely more mellow in graphic stuff. I still remember some X-Files episodes that scarred me for life :)). Peter's situation is definitely a mistery but don't jump to conclusions just yet. Trust me you are not going to guess anytime until the very end of this season or maybe the next one. The images you keep seeing in transitions are glyphs by the way. Each glyph shows a natural element, generally with some unnatural change that is easy to miss at the first look. The images also have yellow dots and together they form a code for each episode. There are so many tidbits about Fringe that you are just discovering that put as a whole make the show so epic. The code in the first episode was Observer (which means something specific for the show but not introduced yet) and this episode's code is Child.

I don't even understand the glyphs. I obviously haven't seen the forums discussing them.

Another great reaction. Glad some one has spoken about the glyphs. They are cool aspect to the show and I don't think there is anything spoilery about knowing more about them from the outset.
