- [ ] Honestly I don’t really know 😂. I can see both sides of the argument. I mean I would not outright say im watching a cartoon when I’m watching an anime. When I first hear the word cartoon I think of shows like Ben 10, Danny Phantom, and Kim posible, etc… where they are fun to watch, but aren’t that deep usually. I would not imagine any anime shows in particular when thinking of a cartoon. Not to say there aren’t kid friendly anime’s out there (Ex: Pokemon). But, there are some anime that can be quite gruesome, and have some serious topics being talked about. However, a cartoon is just defined as visual art that is drawn, or animated. So technically they can be considered cartoons. Well Japanese cartoons. But, I do agree that all anime’s are technically cartoons, but not all cartoons are anime. They have their own section. I just wouldn’t outright say I’m watching a cartoon. But I too love watching cartoons too. I love watching the old ones back once in a while when I need something happy. Ig in my mind I can see/feel a difference. Like I would let my kid watch nearly any “cartoon” or ig western “cartoon” without much thought (as long as it’s not on adult swim), but if I heard my 5 year old is watching anime I’d definitely be monitoring that a lot more. By the way I don’t have any kids. This is just hypothetical 🤣. But either way it doesn’t matter. As long as you are enjoying the show. - [ ] Explodey guys name is Bakugo. That might be easier for you to say. Only Deku really calls him Kacchan. I tend to call him Kacchan cuz you hear it so much whenever deku is talking to/about him. - [ ] Kacchan (Caw-cha-nn) I don’t know how to spell it like it sounds 🤣. You’re close though. - [ ] Caw like the sound a crow makes - [ ] Cha like how you say the dance name Cha-cha - [ ] Nn is literally just adding the nn sound to the end 🤣. Like when you’re trying to describe to you child what sound does the letter n make haha. - [ ] This will probably confuse you more 🤣. Oh well. - [ ] This is basically his first name (Katsuki) + the Japanese honorific Chan. It’s like when they add San or Kun to someone’s first name. It depends on how close you are to them. If you’re speaking formally or informally. Chan is basically a childish version of adding San to someone’s name. Like Kayla San. Or at least that’s what I’ve read. Which is why Kacchan is Deku’s childhood nickname for Bakugo. It just kind of stuck for him to call him Kacchan. Deku finds him endearing even though he’s a jerk to him. - [ ] Kacchan wasn’t quitting the school. He was just going home for the day. - [ ] Ik when Deku started blabbing about one for all I was like what are you doing bud. It’s supposed to be a secret. - [ ] At least Bakugo wasn’t still like no matter what I would have won. He saw that he still has a lot to learn, and is no longer the strongest. He has so much to learn and change. - [ ] At least it is unheard of powers being transferable. So Bakugo didn’t believe him. Thank goodness. Also thank goodness no one else was around.

so, I will say that later on the show does get darker at times, I'm not a parent and so I don't know where your family prefers to draw lines, but I figured I'd put that out there just in case. as far as the anime/cartoon debate goes - I think a lot of it depends on context. - When referring to a genre like scifi or fantasy anime is distinct from cartoon. - When referring to a style of production like live action or CG, then I would include anime as a subset of Cartoon/Animation.
