Great episode!!! Honestly - everyone was letting Caroline do her thing, I blame Stefan he just had to get involved instead of letting her be. She would have been fine, and in a year she would have switched it back on - no harm, no foul. Elena wanting to be human again I get it, but at the same time come on, you get to be a vampire, and live forever, never get sick and just be with your partner for ever. Elena and Damon could have adopted children, they could have maybe worked with Sarah Salvatore and she could have been an egg donor, and they could have gotten swimmers from Jeremy and bam a Salvatore Gilbert baby. If it were me - and I could be a vampire from this universe/this lore, I'd do it for sure.
