The instrumental used in this lesson is called Romantic Vibe. How do we make a chord progression sound more romantic? The answer is simple: Use maj7 chords. The major 7th chord is one of the most romantic chords in music. It can easily transform a simple and boring chord progression into something romantic and unique. The chord progression we will learn in this ukulele lesson is in the key of G major, and it is mainly played with just two chords: G major and C major. We will change the basic chords into maj7 chords. Enjoy the lesson.

Very melodic that nicely builds of some previous pieces, with a bit more difficulty for me. Good...more to practice! (Thanks for the unique name that will distinguish it from other pieces.)

Please teach us the strumming pattern. It is too beautiful to omit from lesson. 🙂

+1 vote for the strumming pattern at the end. I see some nice hammer on / pull offs going on!

Again, I’m so enjoying these tutorials. Great variation to keep me interested. This is so beautifully melodic. Eagerly looking forward to the strumming.

Lovely tune as always and a joy to learn. Wondering how come you are labelling the G chords /D though (I understand the theory)? Seems like an unnecessary or slightly confusing deviation from more conventional ukulele naming?

Listening to this exquisite piece of music is such a satisfying and enjoyable experience. However, it can never compare to actually being able to play the music. My heart overflows with gratitude that you have created a lesson that makes it possible for me to actually play it myself. I'm so happy that my eyes just fill with tears. The varying camera angles on your hands were excellent. I especially appreciated seeing your right hand and how the your fingers touch the strings. I agree with you that the lesson would be too long if you had included the strumming. I look forward to a follow-up on Romantic Vibe that focuses on the strumming.
