Hello Top Tier gang.

Thought I'd check in with you all.

Mine and Sanja's Covid continues to linger, to the point that we've cut back this coming week's location filming from two days to one. It's the weirdest thing. We've still got reduced energy levels. Some days we feel back to normal, and then other days - such as yesterday - I was just wiped out again. And my sense of taste and smell took a step back yesterday as well, which is the worst thing! I MUST EAT NICE THINGS.

Anyway, this does mean the planned Big Video Game Content ep has been postponed - we just realised that doing another two days back-to-back would probably finish us off - but we're still doing a day-and-a-bit-of-a-night of ambitious Supernatural World filming. Hopefully still going to get at least two eps out of it - maybe three - given where we're visiting, and where we're staying overnight.

And, of course, special guests will be joining us! And Cheapshow will be recording their side of it, like they did with the Winnie the Pooh ep.

Sanja and I are both gutted that this week's ep - which was a nice, cosy, return to the two of us on the sofa - turned out blurry. I've not had time to get the thing edited, but it will be going up on the Xenoxxx channel at some point. Hopefully when we're back from Suffolk.

So... what are we doing in Suffolk? Well, we're visiting Rendlesham Forest, site of the most famous UFO sighting in British history. We'll have Ryan Livermore and Ashens with us, as well as Gannon and Eli, which means it's almost a Barshens reunion. Then we're staying overnight in a 17th Century church, for a bona-fide Most Haunted-esque ghost hunt. The owner was a little wary, and we have to be careful what we do, as it's still in use as a place of worship, but we do have permission to film.

As well as all that, the run of Beanus eps has now come to an end, and we've got another three or so Digi Deluxe episodes to come, two with Ash Frith, who's always good value. Sanja and I have even discussed going to two eps a week for a little while, because we've got a backlog of videos we want to do as well.

Anyway. That's it. Need to go and charge up a shit-ton of camera gear, lights, microphones and whatnot, and go and give my dad his Father's Day card.

Have a splendid Sunday, gang. Happy dads!

Paul

Happy pop-pop to you too. But like, don't die or anything!

Thank you for the update on all going on! Post-viral fatigue is a bugger, I really hope that y'all begin to be more consistently better soon and don't develop longer-term post-viral symptoms. I'm very excited for the sadly-blurry episode and very excited for the Supernatural World filming too. Keep safe and have a lovely day, champ :)

“The fact that you call it pop-pop shows that you’re not ready to be doing it yet”

Happy Day of the Dads! Looking forward to seeing all the spooky goings-on.

All this dad talk reminds me of the only poem I know... Ken Dodd's dad's dog's dead.

Rendlesham Forest, the oft touted Britain’s answer to Roswell. Good stuff. Was it swamp gas or Venus, no, just a light house (must have had Matt Hancock come up with that one).

Bloke I work with got hit and was pretty much like you for a good couple of weeks. No telling how long he wasn't up to working before hand. At least your through the worst. Looking forward to the UFO special. All the best to you and the family Paul.

My friends and I used to say that and versions of it while walking around Glastonbury, trying to start rumours...

All sounds like good fun incoming :-) My own experiences of ghost hunting in my 20s were surreal. Used to tag along to spend the night in country houses and castles on the cheap. Before most haunted rocked up, a paranormal investigation was a way for owners of country houses to get some tourist draw on the cheap. You'd stay for free, write them a report, and they'd use it in the tourist bumph. After Most Haunted, they started charging braying middle class pricks, and shrieking women, to spend the night on stag weekends etc). But I digress. Forever have a memory of men in sensible trousers stood at the top of the staircase describing a "sort of rotational movement, through the hip...sort of like that," that tried to push them down the stairs. Me being historian and skeptic, pointing out that the staircase was very steep and the floorboards at the top being uneven, sort of spoiled their fun. Enjoy Mr B.
