THE PAST... AND THE FUTURE...! (Patreon)

It's a departure from the usual stuff on the main channel. You've probably seen that I've been slipping more Found Footage-y bits into recent episodes, and it's all part of trying to make the channel more, I guess, authentically me. For better or worse...!

I started up that second channel a while back, but shortly after doing so I realised that it was the wrong thing to do. It subconsciously sent the wrong message to myself, to kind of neuter the Digi videos to appeal to as wide an audience as possible - and that's something I've been wrestling with ever since Digitiser The Show. 

I'm never going to succeed at it anyway, because my more bizarre instincts always bleed through, so I just need to embrace them, like I did with Found Footage. I might re-upload some of those Mr Biffo vids to the main channel at some point, or slip them into some videos. If people don't like what I do, then I don't really care. I want to make stuff that I like, for the people that like that sort of thing. 

Plus, the UK retro gaming bubble has plenty of YouTubers already. If we ever want a hope of standing apart then we need to go full throttle on what makes us different.

So, nothing really will change in a big way... you just might just gradually see a little more variety in our videos, so it's not all us sitting behind a desk. We've actually got a filming session this Friday - and starting rehearsals for the live show - so just a reminder if you want to ask anything of me, Larry, Gannon or Octav1us to leave a question in the comments.

Sanya and I have also been talking a lot about Series 2 of Digi, and while I don't have any specifics for you yet, I'm expecting a KS campaign to launch possibly in early October, and that it's going to be very different to Series 1. It'll still be a show about games, but... for my own sake, I don't want to repeat myself. I need to keep pushing forwards, challenging myself. 

Interestingly, we've actually been thinking that Mr Biffo's Found Footage was technically Series 1, which ended with a short film... Series 2 was Digitiser The Show, which is ending with a live show... and Series 3 will similarly be something different, and will end with something new and completely different again. Plus, one of the potential aims of the Kickstarter is possibly building our own studio as an investment for the future...

First though... the live show is our priority. It's going to be immense... and we've just put one more ticket up on the website shop if you're interested...
