With the primary aspects of dimensional travel figured out, Hellenere found her research shifting toward new subjects. The next step was to explore, and in order to do that, Hellenere would need explorers. While some brave souls would possibly volunteer to undergo the journeys, the elf, knowing that the unknown held unpredictable risks, decided it best to send something more expendable. That something would be the focus of her new line of research: the automaton (or golem). The structure would be relatively simple to fabricate; however, Hellenere would need assistance magically imbuing the constructs with just the right amount of intellect and competence. For this, Hellenere reached out to her colleague, Elliandri.

The pair of elves make excellent research partners when they are actually researching. The biggest hurdle the two of them face is that they struggle to keep their hands off each other, often interrupting their work as they grope and fondle one another. It is for precisely this reason they don't research together unless they truly need the other's help.
