Mommy and Daddy decided it was a nice day to visit the beach. They packed all of the beach gear up, picked me up out of my playpen, put me into my carseat and we were off for a day in the sunshine. Once we got to the beach, Daddy parked the car and began to unload everything. Mommy on the other hand released me from my carseat and stood me up next to the van. As my sandals hit the parking lot pavement, she exclaimed, "Oh no! You are already wet again Pumpkin! Stand here while Mommy gets your diaper bag." I wondered, Why does she need to get my diaper bag? I figured she would just let me play in my swim trunks since we are at the beach. I guess I will be wearing a diaper under my trunks today.

As I stood next to the van in nothing but my T-shirt and diaper, I tugged down on my shirt a bit trying to hide my poofy plastic undies from everyone else in the parking lot. I realized it was a fruitless effort though as the other kids passing by began to tease me, but at least I tried. After Daddy finished unloading the van, Mommy placed me into the back and changed my soaked diaper. Once finished, I laid on the back floor board of the van squirming as I waited for Mommy to put my swim trunks on me. I was in for a bit of a surprise though. Mommy lifted me back up out of the van, placed me on her hip and said, "Okay Sweet Pea, all changed! Are you ready to go have some fun on the beach?" I began to whine, "But Mommy, what about my swim trunks?" Not wanting me to get anymore fussy than I already was, she popped my pacifier into my mouth and replied,"Oh no Pumpkin, Mommy needs to be able to see when her Little Guy needs another diaper change. Its a warm beautiful day out anyway. I am sure there will be other babies out there dressed the same.

Not wanting to put up a fight, I decided to just keep sucking my paci and let it go. Once out on the beach, Mommy placed my beach towel on the ground and put a pair of little cub style sunglasses on me. I sat down on the towel and shifted around on my thickly padded tooshie as I listened to it crinkle loudly. My mouth was beginning to get a bit parched so I turned to Daddy and put my paws out in a grabbing motion. "Baba Daddy Baba!" Dad smiled, reached into the cooler and handed me a baby bottle filled with apple juice. "Here you go Squirt. A frosty cold one for my little man." I happily grabbed the bottle, shoved it in my mouth and began to suck down the sweet apple juice. As I laid on my back drinking from my bottle, I began to watch the clouds move through the sky. I was actually quite comfortable in just my shirt and diaper. As I imaged faces and shapes of dinosaurs in the clouds, I thought to myself. Who cares if I am the oldest cub on the beach still crinkling around! At least I am comfy.
