Hi Everyone! It was suggested by one of your fellow Patrons (Daisuke Fox) that I do a Q&A for With Little Paws We Toddle Afar. So, here you go! Ask me anything about the book, my art or myself. I will try to answer questions as best as I can as long as its not a spoiler of things to come or something that makes me uncomfortable.

This will also be an "Open Mic" general discussion for all Patrons. Here is a chance for you to post your suggestions for future content & ways I can make your Patreon experience better. I want to do my best to keep you all around for every new page that is released.

RULES:
- Please keep your comments friendly & civil.
- No overtly sexual questions/comments (I will delete them)

Hi good boy! Thanks for this opportunity. I would like to know about your most embarrassing ABDL related moment in your life. Also I would like to know all parallels between you and good boy liger. For the future story i would like a bit more "action". Some thing to happen that i don't expect and Zach getting diapered hehe. Also congratulations!!

Anonymous

To begin with, since you are allowing questions about yourself, I have to ask. How long have you been a Furry/Babyfur/Diaperfur/ABDL? How long have you been drawing (whether furry-related or not)? And how did you end up becoming a full-time artist? Finally, how often do you wear IRL (if at all)? And which are your favorite IRL diapers (if any)?

Anonymous

Some questions about the project itself: How did "With Little Paws We Toddle Afar" come to be? What drove you to start writing a book, and an illustrated novel at that? And how do you manage to draw an awesome illustration and write the two pages so consistently every week? (Though I bet it's more than two pages worth of text if you were to put them on a word processor).

Anonymous

Do any of the characters (be it Asher himself, his family, his friends, or even Raz) have a connection with someone or something IRL? Be it that they share a name, or you've used their fursona's likeness or their personality for one of the book characters, or something else. Something that also caught my eye was Asher's (and, to a certain extent, Arthur's) fascination with dinosaurs (and archeology). Was this topic chosen for any particular reason?

Anonymous

We know that Arthur works as a professor and archeologist at the university, but what is Nicole's job? She mentions that she'll take some weeks off to take care of Asher and help him get settled, but doesn't say what her current occupation is. Keeping up with the theme of jobs and studies, out of Asher's closest friends, we only know what Daniel is studying. What are Zack, Jessica, and Jennifer's academic or professional paths?

Anonymous

On page 12, we can see the timestamped picture that Nicole took of Asher and his friends during the birthday party. The dates are also present on other pages and are kept consistent with each other. This raises two questions. Asher's birthday is June 15th; was this date picked for any particular reason? And the year is printed as "58"; what year is it meant to represent? 2058? And, again, why was it chosen?

Anonymous

Lastly, a question for the future: When, and if, the story is completed, would you consider publishing or printing physical copies of it?

Thanks Kirito! Most embarrassing ABDL related moment in your life: Well there have been a lot of those over the years. Bed-wetting incidents. My mom finding my stash of bottles, pacifiers, bibs ect. in middle school was pretty embarrassing. Have had multiple times that I had leaks in school or at past jobs. Changing for gym class in school was always embarrassing too. Tried to keep my diapers on the down low, but I know others besides my friends had to have know. Gym shorts don't exactly hide diapers well. Parallels between me and my fursona: Actually there are a lot. I have been in the furry community for over 20 years. I was a tiger for most of that, but the overall look and vibe of that fursona never fit me as closely as Good Boy. A lot of my mannerisms and even things like hair and eye color are the same. I really wanted to make Good Boy a direct reflection of myself. Only thing really different is I don't have all of the piercings I used to. "Action": Stay tuned for more action. These first 100 pages were mostly character development and Asher coming to terms with his predicament. You are going to start seeing Asher have more out in public adventures, and worldly travels as the story progresses. Honestly you will never see Zach in diapers, but.... There have been some subtle hints / foreshadowing in the book of someone else who may have a secret....

1) I have been into diapers and being babied practically all of my life. My earliest memory was when I was about 3 years old. I knew then that I wanted to stay in diapers and not grow up. One reason I refused to use the potty or give up things like my pacifiers and bottles. I got my first taste of babyfur/furry around the same time after watching Care Bears Movie II. Really realizing I was a furry came around after becoming obsessed with The Lion King in 5th grade. 2) I have drawn off and on my entire life. I actually enjoy painting and tinkering with crafty things as well. My grandmother who I am very close with was much the same when she had her business. Went full-time artist late 2021 after loosing my jobs that I had for 10 years. I had also just finished college in 2020 and had a hard time getting a job as a graphic designer despite finishing top of my class. So yeah, said "Screw it" Why not try doing what I love. The rest is history. Its not glamorous or very lucrative, but I love what I do. 3) I wear diapers 24/7. I didn't potty train until well into kindergarten. I then went back into diapers in 5th grade after many pants and bed wetting incidents. I have stayed in diapers ever since. For brands... well know everyone will hate me for it, but I like the plain white Rearz diapers which I stuff with a Wallgreens brand diaper for extra poof. They remind me of the diapers I wore as a little kid in the 80's. They are my daily diapers that I wear everywhere. After that I would have to say Super Dry Kids followed by Little Kings.

1)"With Little Paws We Toddle Afar" started as what was going to be more of a picture book with a short story. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to do something different than all of the other artists in the community. Everyone does comics and I wanted to create something that could convey more of story and stir deep personal emotions for the reader. I prefer to tap into everyone's little side and make them blush/squirm and feel small rather than doing pornographic stuff. As I started writing it and developing the characters I became attached to them. I also found out that I really enjoyed writing. To be honest, this is the longest thing I have ever written in my life. As I started writing. My main end goal is to create something that a babyfur's/ABDL's caretaker or parent can read a few pages to them every night at bed and give the sweet little dreams. My grandmother used to read to me a lot as a kid. She even made funny voices for the characters. (Arthur does the same when reading to Asher, but I had to cut it to make room on those pages early in Chapter 4). So, an illustrated novel was born. 2) Its tough honestly. Between Patreon and my normal commissions I usually work 6 days a week (sometimes 7) and go for 12-14 hours each day. My desk is literally next to the couch so I can be with my husband in the evening while I work on stuff. Pulling all nighters is not uncommon either. This is the reason I would really like to see my Patreon grow more than it has. The more I can rely on Patreon as my main income, the less other commissions I would have to do basically putting me back on a normal work schedule. Also, Yeah I always have to do a lot of editing to fit everything onto the pages. I tend to write more than will fit. Actually with each chapter I have crammed a little more onto the pages though I think I have pushed it as far as I can.

1) Yes, inspiration for traits and mannerisms of the characters themselves do come from people I know or am close to. Nicole's look and personality is inspired by my own mother and grandmother. Arthur is the loving, fun, carefree father that I never had. (Both my father and step father are very stoic and serious) Daniel was inspired by my husband. They both look and act very much the same. While Asher tends to be more shy than me, a lot of his actions, things he says and does are influenced by my own experiences and personality like being a late bloomer for instance. FUN FACT: I wasn't going to tell anyone, but since you brought it up Asher's full name(which was used on the past couple of pages) is Asher Bradley Lionel. Bradley is my RL middle name as well. :P 2) Dinos are just cool! They are a theme that resonates with a lot of little ones in the babyfur/ABDL community, so I use them along with a few others like trains, planes, ect to try and tap into the readers personal likes/hobbies. I figured I have a good chance that the reader will find one of the themes interesting and create a relationship/bond between them and the characters on a more personal level.

Nicole is actually Real Estate agent. I had to cut out that detail initially when first introducing her to make room on the page. There is a reason I chose that, but I won't say why. Lets just say it will make for a fun/funny adventure down the road. Zach decided not to go to college and actually works at and outdoor/hiking gear store. He also works part time as a personal trainer & climbing instructor. Though I hadn't brought it up yet there is a reason for this as well that will be touched on sometime in the future. Jessica and Jennifer I won't say much about at the moment since I don't want to spoil anything.

It saddens me to hear how many hours you put into this, sacrificing so much to make all this great content. I might be the odd one out here by saying this, but I wouldn't mind having to wait longer for my commissions, specially if that meant a better schedule for you. The art may be important, but the artist is even more. If you are happier, your work will reflect it and you'll have an easier time creating all these awesome pieces for us and for yourself. Hopefully this Patreon grows to the point you want it to, because you certainly deserve it.

1) LOL, well while its not the 15th, my birthday is also in June. I grew up in a warm place so summer birthdays consisting of sprinkler/pool parties with lots of icecream was common for me as a kid. I wanted to bring those same themes and vibes from my personal experiences into current and future chapters of the story. Its also warmer weather meaning more scenes in just T-shirts and diapers. I know that most people in the community prefer scenes like that as opposed to cute outfits, so I wanted to start the story there knowing the illustrations would get more attention from people in the community after Asher regressed. 2) As far as the year I strayed from our current calendar for that one. Their dates are actually on a completely different timescale/timeline than ours. The 58' actually represents the year 6058 PA. "PA" Stands for "Post Annihilation" which was the catatrophic event that wiped out Raz's people and created the Scorched Lands. That is the timeline that the current characters refer to when speaking of time and history. I don't want to spoil stuff, so I will leave it at that as a little easter egg for everyone. I will say though that I chose a separate timeline is because I didn't want to back myself into a corner or theme from any particular decade. Our community if filled with people of all generations, so I want to pull a little nostalgia from everyone's childhood no mater when they grew up. Thats why for instance Nicole has a more modern style vehicle as well as the homes furnishings, but yet the pictures she takes are inspired by developed/printed film like the old school 35mm cameras with the timestamps from the 80's & 90's when I was little. You will see a lot more of this as the story goes on and I revive things and places that people no longer use or go to from the past.

goodboyliger

Short answer, Yes. That has been my intention all along. Like I said in the earlier post, I want to create something that a babyfur's/ABDL's caretaker or parent can read to them every night before bedtime. The overall story is just beginning though. While not every page is written, I do have a whole basic timeline listed out with events, adventures, and even the ending of the story. You all have no clue how crazy things are going to get and the twists that will be introduced. There will be plenty of things to make you laugh, be in shock, and even make you cry. I will give you all one more little nugget of undisclosed info. Due to the length of the overall story and printing limitations/costs, "With Little Paws We Toddle Afar" is actually not just one book. It will actually be a series of books. As each book is finished I will be looking into have them professionally printed in full color, using quality paper and case bound with a hard cover for the physical books. I will also look into them published as e-books for those who can't afford physical copies. This story is my baby. I really want this to be my legacy/mark that I leave for the babyfur/ABDL community to enjoy for years to come. Now if I could just get more people to watch less videos/comics and actually read more!

goodboyliger

Thanks Daisuke. Don't be sad though. It is what it is. At the end of the day I have to stay on a schedule and continue to keep money flowing so I can pay bills and buy groceries. If I put off commissions they will just back up and make things worse. Thats just life and adulting. Its my choice to continue doing this for a living and I don't regret it. The best thing you can do for me is spread the word about what I am doing here at Patreon. I am not a pop-u-fur and I by no means a popular artist in the community. My reach is limited, so word of mouth from my patrons and commissioners is all I have. Without you guys I am nothing. So yeah, just spread the word to others.

Thank you so much for taking the time and answering all these questions. All those insightful tidbits (as well as all the teasers) have been quite enlightening and only made more hyped for what's to come. This story is also special to me in a sense. It reminds me of that time back in 2010 when I was just a naive 13 year old who found his way to a story titled "Blue Glow" on another artist's website. Armed with my basic English skills and Google's (not so) trusty translator, I painstakingly made my way through that book. It was a truly eye-opening experience, one that made me who I am today. Reading through the pages of this book has brought back those feelings I thought were long lost. Maybe one day I'll have a chance to properly, perhaps in person (I can only hope), thank you for everything you've done, not only for me but for everyone in thi community. But for now, these words will have to suffice. One final question. Would you mind reserving me a signed copy of the first book? I know I'm a tad early, but I want to get mine before they are sold out.

I thanks so much for the Q&A ! I don't know if that's the right place: the other artist i follow on Patreon has a super lively discord. People can talk about the art and comic there and get in contact with the artist. Maybe that's something for you too?

goodboyliger

I am always amazed at how many people in countries that don't natively speak English can read and write English fluently. I wish the US had a better education system that insisted on us learning as second language when I was a kid. It is inspiring that you would take the time to figure it out so you could read books created in the community. I am also humbled that my literature has been able to tap into the feelings you described. It means a lot to me that I can stir raw emotions like that. As far as a book, I would be more than happy to sign one when they are eventually published, though I don't think you will have to worry about them selling out. I don't think I am or ever will be popular enough to sell out of books, though you saying that is flattering.

I know you and a few others asked me about this in the past and I am still a bit hesitant to start a Discord and here is why: 1)- First off, I have never used the platform so it would all be a new thing to me that I would need to learn which takes time. 2)- Time. I already have a hard time keeping a social media presence as it is. I have several other places I try to maintain a presence on: Mastodon, Furaffinity, Telegram, DeviantArt, and Twitter (The last two are minimal). I am scared to add another to the list. 3)- I stay very busy with my art and don't want to let people down by not showing up or taking forever to respond. 4)- I have no clue how I would moderate it to keep things civil, clean and trolls out. I also would feel bad leaving out those who cannot afford Patreon from something like that. 5)- Back to time and $. If I had twice as many Patrons here then I could afford to dedicate the time. At the moment I have to do lots of other commissions to keep paying my bills. I have noticed that things have really stalled here since the first of the year (Which is concerning) Unless that changes and things begin to grow again, I just don't know how I would be able to afford the time to do anything more than I already am. As I posted in the replay to Daisuke I already work 6 days a week with 12-14 hours each day. I don't know which artist you follow, but I would be curious how they as well as others who are on Discord manage to strike a balance between work and keeping up with their Discords. More information about the benefits of it as well as how many people would actually use it would be helpful as well.
