Born the noblest house in the empire, Zevmar was destined for greatness. At the age of 5, he was commended amongst his young peers as a flawless duelist. At the age of 10, he mastered the way of the sword. At age 15, he studied the vastness of the mystic arts. Yet, for all the arts he studied, none were as powerful as his proficiency in Light Magic. As Zevmar grew, so too did his popularity amongst his peers.

By age 20, Zevmar was a captain stationed in the northwest provinces of the empire. One day, his border was attacked by a force of more than 50,000. With only 12,000 men to his name, no one assumed that Zevmar and his forces would survive. Yet, reports and news flourished through the empire that not only had the Lightfeather soldier survived, but he'd also done so without losing a single man. To this day, no one, save the empire, knew how he managed to survive the battle.

With this one victory, Zevmar was placed on higher responsibility. Yet, with that responsibility came boundless popularity. Wherever Zevmar went, people cheered his name. Kids wished to grow up like him, men wished to serve under him, and women wished to wed him.

Yet, there came a time when Zevmar's popularity would soar still. In the provinces west far from the Empire, Zevmar fought against one of the empire's enemies. The battle was fierce and harsh, pushing the conflict barely to the gates of Ynro. All seemed lost until Zevmar released the full might of the Lightfeather House's magic. Under the name of Lumnina, Zevmar pushed back the assault and became heralded as the Hero of Haengaram.

It was for this achievement that Emperor Aldwyn awarded Zevmar with gold, structures, wives, and estates. As the hero, Zevmar was awarded a seat on the Emperor's council. He was privy to meetings with generals, nobles, and councilmen that most would never receive in their lifetimes.

With the blessings of the Emperor, Zevmar was also privileged to form his own military force under the Emperor. From every corner of the D'orn, Zevmar gathered the most talented individuals, whether they be male, female, beastman, or otherwise, none were exempt from his hand.

However, what most did not realize was that Zevmar had long since turned away from the Empire. Through underground dealings he orchestrated events to become the Hero of the Empire, thus earning him special privileges to work toward his ultimate goal, to accede to the throne of the emperor, and Zevmar knew he could do it for, unknownst to anyone (even himself), he'd done it before in the first life of a betrayed captain.

In his ears were whispered sweet promises, caressing and stroking his ego along until the noble heart was turned to greed. Beneath the gaze of the emperor, Zevmar constructed armies and forged alliances that would break down the very walls of the people he'd sworn his sword and family name to protect. For Haengaram would only stand in the new world with him as its Emperor.

...yet, never did he think his ambitions and goals would be thwarted, cast into the sea and forgotten, by the hand of a pirate, much less one honoring a deal with a Haengaramian Knight-Captain!

(Greetings everyone, I know this wasn't in the roadmap, but I decided to switch some things up, especially since this isn't the last we'll see of Zevmar)
