Emperor Aldwyn and Empress Thellka (Patreon)
Content
Let not his age fool you, Aldywn was raised by under the cruel hand of strife, and forged his very will into his skills for combat. Fear of his battle prowess had led to the surrender of many kingdoms, nations, and countries. Rising to prominence, he took the seat of the Emperor when the empire's lands were still young. Tales spoke of his mighty blade as he slew a terrifying dragon that ravaged the lands. From the dragon's corpse, he crafted a sword made of dragonbone.
With a burning desire for justice, and a righteous fury against indignation, Aldywn stood against any and all forms of corruption, slavery, black magic, heathen sacrifice, and any other evil under the sun. Working tirelessly, he worked to form Haengaram into an empire that would stand against all these evil powers, especially the one that seemed to combine them all, piracy.
Per an agreement with the Balamar Family, Aldwyn would marry Thellka Balamar. When she came of age, Thellka learned of her role in the agreement. Trained as a proper warrior, and a better royal wife, she was groomed into a wife befitting the name of Empress.
Little did Aldwyn realize that by the time of their marriage, Thellka was already with child. Unable to take care of her for too long, Thellka released Alteria Balamar to the Balamar Family where her daughter would suffer under the scrutiny of a supposedly tarnished name. Yet, Thellka never stopped loving her daughter, and... her father. She loved them both more than the Emperor himself.
Nevertheless, she fulfilled her duty and gave Aldwyn two children, Crown Prince Tainn and Royal Princess Quinn. Yet, still her heart yearned for her true love and their daughter.
Unbeknownst to her, Aldwyn knew this. Perhaps it was for this reason that he gathered to himself a multitude of wives - allowing Thellka to mourn the loss and dishonor of her love in silence.
Yet, never would Thellka imagine that she would get to meet her daughter again, almost 25 years later, due to the action of an infamous, and taled to be cruel, pirate, Eric Drakclaw. They spoke, and they spoke for a long time. As Alteria struggled with their consequences, Thellka nevertheless reassured her that no matter what might become of her daughter she would always love her.
