Eric and Liara (Patreon)

Eric met Liara upon speaking the words to enter The Root. With nothing but rags for clothes, and an ailing mother, he sat before the woman who'd made deals with mighty spirits, demons, and devils. From his lips, her interest was piqued and thus a great voyage began for a betrayed captain and an immortal witch. The journey would lead to many discoveries, both inside the ship and out. The more Eric would talk to Liara, the more her intrigue increased. His words were like that of an old friend and his aura was much like her own. What someone his age shouldn't have known was brought to her ears in vast quantities. However, it was only when they landed on Delverhold that Liara knew, she knew something which she thought impossible. With a smile, she passed onto Eric the Mark of Hoɖ. Then, she ascended, leaving the man who found her favor with her two compatriots. Though none knew where she went, Eric knew she would return one day and he shall wait to receive her within his arms again.
