I actually kind of like it so long as it's not on all the time and everywhere. It adds a bit of a dramatic effect.

Lots of people don't like the godray effect tbh. I can disable only that. To be honest, I myself like the bit of blurry effect and make the tile look soft.

Well I won't be too sad if it's gone, but it is a neat effect for certain situations.
