Polaroid preview with Julia and April (Patreon)

Hey everyone ! Here is my first shoot back after 3 months, this is a small polaroid preview with Julia and April !
I was using the SLR680 here with flash on, I wanted that direct flash look.
This is my second session with Julia & April, such a fun duo to work with.
Here I tried without the flash and I underestimated the low light, resulting in some low shutter speed and shake:
I really have a hard time shooting the SLR680 inside without flash, it's really hard exposing right, a challenge to say the least.
We went outside to shoot a few photos as well but I only took one Polaroid:
At first, I was suppose to shoot only with Julia, but April joined in. The plan was also to shoot some FP-3000b, so I brought the Polaroid 600SE. I put the film in, and then the dreaded black cover paper you have to pull, I'm always scared to tear it, and I thought I did it right. I took my first shot, pulled the little paper to reveal the photo tab, no photo tab, fuck. Opened up the back a little to notice that I did not pull the black paper correctly, it teared at the end, so I had to remove it from there, lost the first shot of course. Took another picture, still no photo tab after the pull of the paper. Now I was pissed, lost another shot, pulled it out took another shot but this time I waited. I noticed that the film was not coming out of the rollers, I needed to be wise about this and take the time to place that paper right and I knew I needed to sit down and take a few minutes to fix this. So I decided I was going to leave that exposure in and not shoot more of these Polaroids. Did not want to sit down and play with my camera while Julia and April waited there, no way. That took a toll on me I felt like an idiot. I know this is hard to explain for someone who hasn't shot any pull apart polaroids, but in resume I fucked up. Know that this film is discontinued, going for a minimum of 120USD +shipping on Ebay (12$ a shot) , I needed to try to save the rest of those exposures at home. I also was bummed out because I wanted to shoot some of these Polaroids and now I couldn't because I fucked up like an amateur.
Anyway, long story short, I got home, tried to place that tab right so it would come out of those rollers properly, open film back right in the open wondering if the whole pack was exposed, it wasn't an easy task because you are just not suppose to do it this way. So I finally got it in there, now it was time to see if that 3rd exposure had work, I had 0 expectations, pulled it out, waited 3 mins to cook and here it was:
I was relieved! Of course some leaks were expected, but it worked, there is a good chance I saved the pack!
And I did save it, more Polaroids are coming soon ;)
Have a great weekend everyone!
