Here is part I with Aurora and Daphné from 2 weeks ago taken with the Fuji Xpro-2.

This was very different, I worked a few times with Aurora in the past, this time she contacted me to see if I was interested to play with projections. I used my wife's projector one time to try it out and I definitely got some interesting results:

Let me know if you wanna see more of these :)

Anyway, I said why not. She was sending me cool scene inspo and great outfits. However, I didn't want to do this at the studio because it's just empty, would have been just her and a white wall. We were thinking of bringing in props and stuff, but that would not have been enough anyway. So I proposed we do this in a real environment somewhere else. She asked her friend which has a real cool loft, he said yes, so we had a new location ready for us.

Then, Aurora asked if I wanted to turn this into a duo shoot, although we would still do solo sets, I said why not. Daphné is Aurora's girlfriend, she was stoked on the aesthetic and wondered if she could join in.

The first inspo pics she sent me were cool, but I knew I didn't want to create over the top images like this, whatever you wanna call it, newretrowave, synthwave or vaporwave, inspired by this yes but not exactly like this.

That last image was something conceivable, and I knew the location had lots of plants.

They were super kind and brought a few props and fabrics so we could create sort of a set. Here's a few bts pics of the setup and lights:

Also, the friend which resides in the loft is a photographer and he had a projector available and already setup, what can I ask more!

I had a hard time deciding what to project, I knew I wanted abstract images, nothing too figurative. My wife found a few good ones for me. The best thing to do here was to create the images myself, but I didn't have time for that and I'm lazy, so we got them off the net.

Here are the images I projected for this set:

The first image was probably my favourite because I used it again later.

For the next set, we headed to the bedroom, stay tuned.

I especially love the sunglasses and red circle background shot. Thanks for showing the individual images that you projected. Have you ever looked at Kidmograph animations on Instagram? The aesthetic is very similar, but moves through three dimensional worlds.
