This is my first time watching this, my younger sister got The Last Unicorn board game as a birthday gift one year back in the early 90's. We never knew it was based on a book/movie, but now the whole freaking game makes sense all of a sudden.

He absolutely says "Have a taco", that line is actually straight from the book. Captain Cully is voiced by Keenan Wynn, by the way, son of Ed Wynn, who voiced the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland

Highly recommend reading the novel, and if you can get your hands on the original (out of print) audiobook, read by the author, it's really good. He even sings some of the songs he wrote for the book

2 things: narwhals dont have horns! What looks like a horn is actually a tooth! 😯 and the raven is actually mommy Fortuna's raven that follows them throughout the rest of the film

I love this movie, and I love sharing this movie. Another iconic rankin and bass movie is The Flight of Dragons. John Ritter (from Three's Company) plays a nerd turned into a dragon and summons the power of Science (which science?all of them) against James Earl Jones Wizard. It was super effective.
