Believe me, Saber...you're not alone in thinking that graphic violence can be sickening for the feint of heart. Heck, if I had seen that one organ harvesting episode of Invader Zim back in the day, I would've been quite sick. But from what I saw of Happy Tree Friends in the video, the show has plenty of edgy, graphic violence, to the point where it makes Popee the Performer seem somewhat tame by comparison. The show itself passed me by when I was but a teenager/in my early 20s back in the early 2000s, but if I had seen it, I surely would've discovered that it was basically "Care Bears if They Eschewed Friendship and Caring and All That Stuff in Favor of Graphic Violence Aplenty." It is a bit disappointing to hear that the show seems to rely too heavily on being formulaic without a healthy dose of spicing things up (makes me wish I could get around to binge watching Popee to see how it mixes things up). Something like that could bore me after a while if it otherwise failed to do anything to even slightly hold my attention. I also must commend you for at least trying to get through as many episodes as possible, even if some of them were too graphic even for you to handle (kind of like how one of the Peepoodoo episodes was WAY too spicy for you to sit through...and you've survived the likes of Judas and Jesus, Eveready Harton, and Sailor Ballz, all in 2021 alone). All in all, Happy Tree Friends seems to be a product of its time-a wild and crazy time, to be sure-but its importance in defining what the Internet could be like cannot be ignored. I wonder what, if anything, we'll see of HTF next...if it will get another revival, or if, like the friends themselves, the show has died a very graphic death. Only time will tell. Hope you're doing well, Saber...see you for the next thrilling video/stream/everything else soon! =)

I discovered it online when I was a kid and thought it was some show about cute animals that I’d like but boy was I wrong.

I think saw this show after it ran its course. Of all places I think it was Netflix? When I saw it it was ok a few times but I quickly lost interest. I had run my courses thru new grounds and Joe cartoon and the like already and it just wasn't entertaining for me into my mid 20s.

I might have been a poster child of later 2000's. Foamy the Squirrel, Hot Topic trench coats, Invader Zim references out the ass, and living on AlbinoBlackSheep outside of school. But I honestly never got into HTF.

I... watched one episode at the time, and that was pretty much enough to tell me that I would be better off not watching HTF. It seemed like it was going to keep screaming one joke in my ear over and over, expecting me to find it funnier when I didn't laugh the first time.
