I've seen Kickstarter campaigns where the end product does not live up to expectations-looking at you, Mighty No. 9-but this one seemingly has "big time scam" written all over it. $268,000+ pledged to make Oaxis a reality, and what did we end up with? Nearly two-and-a-half years of radio silence, plenty of backers who were rightfully upset and concerned about whether the Kickstarter was actually legit, and, ultimately, a short-lived "launch" period were Oaxis-at least in the form we saw it-was little more than a collection of YouTube videos, plenty of which have characters that Butch Hartman doesn't have the rights to. Whether this page was a test that was never meant to go live but somehow did for a brief time. or if it represents what Oaxis is actually going to be like, I cannot say. What I can say is that this "launch" only goes to show that Butch doesn't seem to give a darn about quality and only seems to care about cheating people out of their hard-earned money. Now I cannot say for definite if Oaxis is, in fact, a scam, but knowing Butch, I wouldn't be surprised if it is a scummy scam. After all, this is the same dude who charged $130 for a terrible Christian cartoon that had all of its episodes combined run barely over half an hour. If what we saw is, indeed, accurate to how Oaxis will turn out to be when/if (more likely if) it ever officially launches, then I'm sure the people who donated to the Kickstarter will be up in arms and demand a refund posthaste. I get the feeling this Oaxis saga isn't over, though we'll have to wait and see what happens next. It's interesting how this video mostly consisted of footage from your recent livestream giving a sort-of tour of Oaxis (done with the aid of PieGuyRulz's video, as the Oaxis page had already vanished by that point), and having watched said stream, I daresay you did well to rip apart Oaxis in a constructive way. This is hardly the first time you and others have been burned by something Butch did, but I respect your sharing your thoughts on Oaxis without getting really upset at Butch. Also, Henri's visual editing continues to be a joy to see (props for having him turn you into a Creeper at one point). On a side note, I feel sorry that this video ended up demonetized by YouTube for a stupid reason ,thus proving the double standards issue you talked about recently...I really hope they get their act together ASAP. I took the liberty of posting this video on the subreddit like I almost always do, so that should at least help with the viewership...anything for my favorite YouTubers! Anyway, those are my thoughts for this week's video...see you soon for what appears to be a return to the Finding Jesus universe if your recent tweets are any indication. Until next time, Saber, take care! =)
