Making a sequel that's as good as-or even better than-the original is a difficult, though not impossible, feat, but oh man, it looks like The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat really missed the mark. It's like the people behind the movie didn't have ay clever ideas for the story, nor did they have an sort of message for the audience to think about unlike the Ralph Bakshi original. Instead, it's just a series of episodes showing Fritz's past lives, which is not very compelling. I can see why Fritz never got a third movie: without Bakshi at the helm, the poor cat was destined to lose the last of his lives at the box office, never to become a big screen superstar ever again. In the meantime, if ever I want to see Fritz get into trouble, I think I'll just stick with the original movie. Also, the sponsor tag at the end-with you in the shower-was priceless! XD Have a great weekend, Saber, and I will see you around soon! =)
