I can still remember-back when I was twelve years old-going to the movie theater to check out the original Space Jam during its opening weekend. What a magical time that was...seeing Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes on the big screen seemed like the coolest thing ever, because at the time, it was. Of course, if there's one thing about Space Jam that we all have fond memories of, it's seeing Lola Bunny for the first time and seeing how hot she was for a character starring in a family movie. With Space Jam finally getting a sequel later this year and Lola Bunny's redesign drawing ire on social media, now was as good a time as ever for you to talk about her controversial redesign and how people have blown it way out of proportion. It's fascinating to see how Lola Bunny came to be, how Bugs Bunny once had a different girlfriend, how McDonald's wasn't too crazy about some of the character's concept art (I remember having some of the Space Jam Happy Meal toys when I was younger), and how she didn't get much of a personality in her debut appearance. It was only in later years that Lola became more fleshed out. If that will be the case for Space Jam 2...well, we'll have to wait and see. As for her redesign...it really doesn't bother me at all. I feel that people are making a mountain out of a molehill when it comes to her new look. We should all wait until the movie-or at least a trailer-is released and see how she will be like as a character. Don't judge a book by its cover, as they would say. As for other notable parts about the video: the part where your avatar looked in the mirror and saw his fursona was absolutely priceless! I hope Nick had a lot of fun editing that scene. I also liked hearing about how other character designs have changed for either the better or the worst, how Lola's redesign was actually revealed much earlier, but no one batted an eye at the time; and seeing the huge amount of Lola Bunny concept art. As your first video essay in quite a while, you have knocked it out of the park in typical Saberspark fashion. I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on Lola Bunny's redesign, and I will be looking forward to what the next video will bring us! Until next week, Saber, take care of yourself! =)
