It seems that every time you find a movie that turns out to be pure Uncanny Valley Hell, along comes another such movie that screams "hold my beer" and proves to be even worse than every other uncanny valley movie you've covered to date. The Snurks is definitely Uncanny Valley personified, but the movie has even bigger problems, from a boring and uninteresting story, to bland characters, to a less than stellar performance by the usually- reliable Patrick Stewart. It seems that the sniffing scene is the highlight moment- if only for the sheer What the Heck factor- and everything else is lackluster and forgettable. No wonder the movie bombed with both critics and audiences...like other uncanny valley movies that you've covered before, it looks like it deserves to be little more than an obscure curiosity. On the subject of the sniffing scene, I love how it became something of a running gag in the video, even going as far as to feature your Youtooz (I hope to get my hands on that figure someday). Nick Ha deserves props for editing those scenes, as well as for other clever edits (with one of my favorites being the Smurfs vs. Snorks fight...how many people even remember the Snorks?). All in all, I enjoyed seeing you courageously tackle another uncanny valley trainwreck of a movie. If you'll be able to deal with the Jehovah's Witness cartoons in the next video...well, I'm sure you'll find a way to do so. Between this video and the mobile game ads stream, you've made this a rather exciting Friday for us all, which I appreciate. Take care, Saber, and see you next week! =)
