What is it about these ripoffs that shamelessly take the ideas of far superior movies and end up being virtually unwatchable? And what is it about your reviews of said movies that make me realize that I can't get enough of hearing you talk about how terrible they truly are? Based on your impressions of Caroline that you posted on social media earlier, I knew we would be in for quite a ride with this video. Indeed, Caroline is basically everything Coraline is not: it has bad and unmemorable characters, it poorly tries to emulate Coraline's stop motion animation (something that was done far better in The Lego Movie), it has a bland and terrible story, and it has an overall poor quality that places it in the Ripoff Movie Hall of Shame (if such a thing exists). I get the impression that, as far as ripoff movies go, this is one of if not THE worst ones you've ever seen. Anyone who watches Caroline will likely find themselves wanting to go back to checking out Coraline with all due speed. But if you ask me, at least one good thing can come out of ripoff movies such as Caroline: they make for spectacular Saber review material. We've seen it time and time again: you take a ripoff movie-whether it's Trolland, Izzie's Way Home, or the myriad of ripoff movies made by Dingo Pictures-make a review of it, and have the review turn out to be better in every way imaginable than the ripoff movies themselves. It's the same story with this video: while one would very likely want to stay far away from Caroline, they would be drawn to your review of it on account of your describing in great detail how much of an abomination it is. Plus, the special touches that are added (you with your script, and Henri with his editing, which, by the by, continues to impress me greatly), ensure that the video holds one's attention throughout its duration, as it did with me. In short, with Caroline, and with so many other ripoff movies (and other bad movies) that you have covered in the past, you have the magical ability to make people want to find out about them and see how terrible they are. I never thought I would want to know anything about Joshua and the Promised Land, Roadside Romeo, Elf Bowling, Gaither's Pond, or the myriad of other bad movies that you have covered, and yet now that I've been watching your videos for about half a year now, I can't get enough of hearing you talk about them. As I have mentioned before, your videos have been the bright spot of 2020, and in a tumultuous year such as this, we need all the joy we can get, and your videos offer that joy! Anyway, thanks for managing to get through Caroline for us, Saber...it's another example of a ripoff movie turned into a solid review. I'll be itching to see more spoopy content from you as we get closer to Halloween. Until then, take care! =)
