And here it is! After 5 months, it's finally done. I really hope you all enjoy this one, it's the most effort we've put into a non-animated video on the channel. I truly consider this to be our magnum opus

What RUINED VeggieTales? - The Tragic Fall of Bob and Larry

Whatever happened to VeggieTales? Well some REALLY awful stuff...you're about to hear one of the saddest stories in animation history. Disclaimer: This comment will contain spoilers for the video, so watch it first before reading any further. Well, well, Saber...in the relatively short time since I have been a fan of yours (going on roughly 4 1/2 months now as of this writing), I have seen so many amazing videos from you: the What the HELL is...videos, the What RUINED/What's RUINING videos, the video essays, and even the earlier stuff like Ballad of the Brony. What all of these videos have in common is that they are informative, entertaining, and most of all, incredibly fun to watch. Never did I think there would be a video that would end up blowing every other video you've ever made out of the water... ...and then I watched the Veggietales video. For a long time now, you've been hyping this video up as your magnum opus: it would have the best writing, the best research, the best recording, the best..well, everything, really. And you wanna know something? You absolutely delivered on that promise! Indeed, there is so much to love about this video...to mention every single one of them would take all night, but here are some highlights for yours truly. Here goes... Let's start with the intro...you and your team absolutely nailed it when it came to making your own version of the classic Veggietales intro. It was a brilliant touch and gave the impression that this was not going to be just any Saberspark video...it was going to be a full-on documentary, and something that was truly amazing. On that note, the video truly had a documentary-like feel. We have, of course, your amazing voice and avatar, telling the story of the rise and fall of Veggietales, the troubles that Phil Vischer and his crew had to deal with, and how the tale, sad as it was for a good chunk of it, seems to be approaching a happy ending in the form of the new Veggietales show. We have the story itself, with the various ups and downs that came about during Phil's life and career. We even have a few super smooth fade-to-black moments, as if you were cutting to a commercial break for a few seconds before continuing the story. No joke...I could see this airing on PBS or some other network that specializes in airing documentaries, as it is that well put together. Speaking of being well put together, your new editor, Henri, is clearly a master at what he does. He put in so many clever jokes and references, several of which had me laughing out loud. On top of that, seeing your avatar narrating the story while standing next to a screen showing footage from Veggietales and other miscellaneous stuff was a nice touch. All in all, these new edits are amazing, and I look forward to seeing more of them in the future. Then, of course, we have the true co-stars of the show...the creepy puppets. They have become-I think-honorary mascots of your channel page (next to Monkey Moses, of course) in short order, so naturally, they were going to play a huge role in the video: trying to scare the living daylights out of you, and ultimately attacking you at the very end. The latter action, I feel, is the culmination of how the puppets became popular with your viewers on account of their ultra-creepy nature. Clearly, these puppets were born to be stars, and whether or not they end up in your videos ever again, I will always remember how they made a huge impact on your channel and your viewers. As a final note, now I see why this video was in production for so long: you clearly wanted to make sure that this video was your best one yet. You and your team wanted to ensure that the writing, research, editing, etc. was absolutely flawless before the video could see the light of day. Some other people may have been impatient to see the video-to the point of doubting its existence-but I, for one, have remained patient for this entire time. I, for one, know that great work takes time...do it right, and you end up with a masterpiece. Do it wrong (i.e. rush it out too soon), and it's ruined for all time. I'm happy to report that you and your team did all the right things with this video: you made it informative and entertaining like with all your videos, you did tons of research and writing, your editor came up with lots of amazing edits (and clearly had fun doing so), and you wound up recording an hour-and-change's worth of your top-notch narration. But the most important thing that you guys did right was give this video the time it needed to become the masterpiece that we see today. Yes, it was delayed multiple times, and yes, it seemed that some people just didn't want to wait a second longer, but in the end, your months-long efforts to see this project through to its completion-and ensure that it met and even exceeded your typical high-quality standards-have most certainly paid off. In conclusion, what you've been saying about the Veggietales video is absolutely true: this is your magnum opus. This is the video that has a quality that exceeds even your most beloved and most popular videos. This is the dawning of an exciting new age for your videos. I can only imagine that your already-amazing videos will get even better from here, and I will most certainly look forward to what the future of your channel has in store for us all (I'm especially looking forward to The Pilgrim's Progress and Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return videos...your reviews of both movies are surely gonna rock!). Since this comment is likely turning into a novel by now, I shall finish by saying the following: Saber, if you're reading this, know that this is a video that you and your team should be very proud of, as it shows how far you have come as a content creator, and how far you will continue to go in your never-ending quest to check out the best-and worst-the world of animation has to offer. I look forward to remaining a fan and supporter of yours for a long time to come, and I shall enjoying every moment of the journey, as I have done for these past few months. Enjoy your victory, Saber...you have most certainly earned it! Until we meet again, stay safe and take care, my friend! =)

This video feels like you have written a lot of college essays for film and television majors. "Oh look, another paper on the rise and fall of Veggie Tales. Let me just look at the citations... and there it is."

And it happened to be the first video that I ever watched. Wow. Dude's a legend. :)

I'm surprised you didn't talk about the "Lord of the Beans" parody film they made
