As was the case with Beastars, Lilo and Stitch, and a few other cartoons that you've covered in the past, it's wonderful to hear you shower this movie with praise. From the looks of it, The Mysterious Stranger segment alone deserves a lot of kudos (and it surely would've frightened me if I had seen it as a kid), but the entire movie is a work of art, and deserved more attention than it got all those years ago. I'm certain that, if Will Vinton were still with us today, he would be pleased to know that you have given The Adventures of Mark Twain the recognition it deserves. Thanks for another top notch video, Saber... keep up the awesome work (I know you will)! =)

2023-05-08 07:17:52 Hands down Saber, this is one of my favourites of yours in a long, long time. As someone who is all into so called existential philosophy & literature, I had no idea Mark Twain had a movie adaptation. I’d love to see more like this from you. If you’re interested, I’d love to see you analyse the Ringing Bell. It’s a simple anime style shorter film (46 mins I believe), but it delves into the psychology of childhood trauma and how one child can quickly be changed to prove themselves but subconsciously attempting revenge and or self satisfaction in the eyes of its production. Much love!

2023-05-08 07:17:52 I also believe The Ringing Bell has a sub & a dub. It’s barely violent, but let’s say the perpetrator guides the child, and it’s narration in life is really deep despite its actions. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I've seen The Ringing Bell before! Super sad but amazing. I plan on reviewing that one in the near future!

Aw yay even better! It’s a piece I adore, especially having childhood PTSD myself. Very well executed for such a primarily non verbal short film

You better believe I'm watching this film. I almost started crying when I realized how much love went into this for Mark Twain- it's clear everyone took a look at his life, his works and put together a crazy narrative to tie it all together. Also, congrats on you getting to watch a good movie for once. Although it looks like you're in the bargain bin of Amazon Prime this week...
