Ritual Grounds [20x20] (Patreon)

A chill runs down your spine as you follow the hunched, hooded figure deeper into the blighted forest. All around you, the leaves seem to whisper into the wind about the horrors that await your unfortunate party. You shout ahead to slow down as the stranger continues to outpace your group, apparently aware of all the little spots along the forest floor free of creeping vines and roots, mulchy grass, or something else that would undoubtedly slow you down or make your skin crawl. When you round yet another ominous, leering tree, you finally catch a glimpse of the ancient cultist ritual grounds that has eluded your best efforts the past few days you traversed this blasted forest—fresh blood pouring out of its stone center. It pulses rhythmically, like a punctured heart.

Hi folks! I think it's about time for things to get a little bit macabre for your merry band of misfits! What dreadful soul will the party run into here? Have they come to investigate unfortunate reports of chilly screams in the dead of night? Perhaps they are here to stop an offering already under way? Or maybe someone in the party needs the perfect locale for their next ritual... Let's help them out then, shall we? Happy Halloween everyone!
