Tom played Degrassi's History Teacher, Mr. Perino, for seventeen (17) seasons. Starting in Degrassi: The Next Generation, Season 2 and ending with the finale of the franchise in Degrassi: Next Class.

With such longevity, Mr. Perino quickly became one of the longest running characters on Degrassi behind Mr. Simpson and Mr. Armstrong. 

Tom is also one of the only actors who played two different characters on the show. We'll talk more about that later, but for now:
