As a thanks for your support, I wanted to share the Degrassi Talks Book Series with you!

The books were released alongside the TV series. They were created by CBC and Health & Welfare Canada. How cool is it that Degrassi was part of the federal government's educational programming? Especially real education around topics that are typically seen as "too mature" for teens to handle.

Above you can see Amanda Stepto's book on Sex. She was selected because her character, Spike, had a baby at only fourteen years old and in real life Amanda was adopted. Each host connects to the topic in their own way. And these books dive deeper into their personal stories.

You'll also see how the books told the real teenager's stories, a look at behind the scene photos of the real Degrassi kids holding camera & microphones and how the books showcased the various street interviews. As well, as each book cover from the series. Rebecca's signature on the inside showcases how the books were made.

Of course, the one signature missing is from Neil Hope, who unfortunately passed away several years ago, but his legacy still lives on. His story in this series is incredibly impactful and honest. It makes you appreciate Wheels in a whole new light.

Thanks for listening!

The Degrassi Talks series can be found on the DVD box-set of Degrassi Junior High. But, if you're just looking for a quick glance at the series - you can find a low quality version of the episodes here on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL335350294C350187

What an awesome find!

What’s crazy is I found them at a thrift store for $1.29 each! Then lugged them with me to Toronto during a fan meet and greet. Not that I’d ever sell them, but they’d definitely be a lot more than $1.29 now 😂 Every now and again I get “advice” that I shouldn’t get a personal autograph with my name, because it “decreases the value.” To resell, sure! But to me? It’s priceless now!
