Volume 3.5 Chapter 11:

"Woohoo! There's also dill as well!" Keith shouted as he searched the forest. This place is the best! New ingredients were everywhere, waiting for him to pick them up!

"Wait a minute, I need to grab a bag full of rosemary," Keith almost forgot about this. He needed to bring back a bag for them. Keith quickly started to collect it.

Heading back to the guild, Keith handed the bag to Madison, "Madison, here are the herbs,"

Madison blinked a few times, "Let me check," She opened the back and started to check through them.

She nodded, "Thank you for collecting all of this. Here are your coins," She handed Keith some bronze coins.

"Thank you," Keith was excited as he quickly returned to his island.

"Guys! Today, I'm going to be cooking up a big steak!"

"Eh?" Diana and the others tilted their heads when they heard that.

Keith explained, "I have some really delicious herbs that will go well with the steak! I want to try them out!"

"Yay!" Fira was excited as she turned to Diana, "Big sister Diana, Keith makes the best steaks in the world!"

"I don't make the best steaks," Keith rubbed his nose when he heard that.

But Diana stated, "I'm going to enjoy it." Keith's cooking was one of the best.

"Let me get some things prepared," Keith stated. He was going to take everything out.

...

While Keith was focused on prepping for the steaks, Cadmus, Sohma, and Aidiun were having trouble.

"Many people are questioning Keith being this year's representative," Aidiun grabbed his head as he groaned.

Shire and Tennol were there as well. They had heard everything the students stated about Keith's role.

"Who are the ones who said this? I will blast those bastards away!" Cadmus had a crazy look, ready to destroy everything. That caused Aidiun and the two instructors to back away from him.

One blow from him was enough to level a city!

Sohma shook his head, "Calm down. If you do something like that, all hell will break loose," Having an ancient dragon go berserk was something no one wanted.

"But Principal, I'm confused," Tennol questioned.

"Hmm?"

"Why is the child this year's representative?" Tennol was confused about this.

"How so?" Cadmus tilted his head.

"As the representative, he is representing everyone in his grade. But that means someone weak shouldn't be the one to do it. From what I saw, he's in the middle of the pack." Tennol explained.

He had the same thought as Herrick.

Even though Herrick was hotheaded and reckless, his words brought some value. Someone weak shouldn't be the class representative.

"Ah, do you guys really think so?" Cadmus questioned.

"Mmhmm," Tennol nodded.

"Same here. If you're going to talk about Keith's abilities in magic, he's also middle of the students in S-class," Shire agreed. Keith's abilities were alright. But it was only that. It was nothing compared to Alfia and Scarlet.

"Oh, I should tell you guys. Keith's in training,"

"Huh?" Shire and Tennol tilted their heads. Aidiun and Sohma retorted, "You have to explain it further for them to understand."

Aidiun explained, "Keith is wearing gravity bracelets,"

"What?" The two instructors stared at him.

"But I don't see it on him," Tennol frowned.

"That's because I gave him custom ones. He kept saying that he didn't want to wear the gaudy school ones," Cadmus scoffed.

Keith had come to him before to ask him for a design change. And he had fixed it up from him in exchange for some pudding.

"Anyways, that's why his abilities are limited. The gravity magic is restricting his physical strength and magic," Sohma explained.

"How long has he been wearing them?" Tennol questioned.

"I think for a few months now. But Keith added more to his limbs," Cadmus stated.

This kid wanted to put more on his body?! Tennol and Shire's eyes widened when they heard that.

"What would happen if he took those bracelets off?" Shire questioned. That was the real thing they needed to figure out.

"He'll probably be one of the strongest in the academy," Sohma answered.

"..." Tennol and Shire stared at Cadmus. You weren't kidding.

When Cadmus said Keith would be the strongest, the two thought he was joking. But if the kid was wearing the gravity bracelets for so long, that changed things!

"If that's the case, then he just needs to show his strength in front of everyone," Shire shook his head. If what Cadmus said was true, then Keith was keeping that title. But Cadmus shook his head,

"I doubt Keith would do something like that,"

"Why not? Being the representative gives so much power."

"Keith doesn't care about the representative's power. Wait. I don't think he even knows about it, right?" Cadmus turned to Sohma,

"I don't think he knows. You sprang the position on him on the fly," Usually, the representative would be given a notice about it way before it was announced.

"You thought it would be a funny joke to keep it from him." The three professors glared at him.

"Either way, even if Keith knows about it, he wouldn't care about it." Cadmus shrugged. He understood how Keith operated.

"True," Sohma and Aidiun nodded their heads.

"..." Are we missing something?

"But what will we do about the people talking about this?" Shire questioned. Students still wanted Keith to be taken out. Some professors were in agreement.

"Who cares about what others think. And they can't change it either way."

"Actually, it might be a problem," Sohma interjected.

"How?"

"Think about Keith's personality. Plus, he doesn't care about being representative. If someone tells him he shouldn't be, he would probably hand it over to that person without a thought!"

"Ugh," There was a pause before Cadmus grabbed his head.

"Wait, he will actually do that?" Aidiun and the other professors questioned.

"He most certainly would!" Cadmus could see it now. That kid really doesn't care about these things.

Cadmus turned to Aidiun, "Aidiun, you're in charge of stopping this,"

"How am I supposed to stop this?!"

"You're his manager. You're in charge of watching over him!"

"Being the manager doesn't mean I can stop him!" Aidiun retorted.

"Wait, you're a manager?" Tennol questioned.

"Mmhmm, I'm the manager of Keith's island," Aidiun explained.

"That's a surprise," The two instructors remarked.

"I know. But the kid doesn't really care if I'm an elf or not," Aidiun stated.

While they were talking, Cadmus slammed his hand onto the table. That shocked everyone.

"What's the matter?"

"Keith is making something really delicious!"

"What, what?" "How do you know?" They were so far away from the island.

"My senses are telling me I must go!" Cadmus didn't wait as he dashed out of the office. Sohma grabbed his head,

"Anyways, ignore what they're saying. We don't need to care about them." That was the best thing they could do right now.

"Understood," The three nodded.
