Volume 3.5 Chapter 7:
Keith glared at Herrick. He landed on his feet. Before Herrick could throw him down, Keith had adjusted his body. He saw Herrick going off from his technique. He was prepared for it.
"Don't you think it's boring to continue with such a boring technique?" Herrick stated.
"We are supposed to follow it," Keith stated. It didn't matter whether or not it was boring. They had to get the form down.
"Who cares about that! I want to fight with you!" Herrick declared. His smile was vicious as he threw a punch at Keith! But Keith raised his leg and blocked it.
"You can block my hit in that position?" Herrick's eyes gleamed as he stared at Keith. Keith didn't hesitate as he quickly spun his body. And when he did that, the two bodies flipped.
Keith got out of his hold. Herrick's eyes turned serious as he dashed up to Keith and raised his fist.
Boom!
Keith blocked the first. But there was a grunt. What a hit? Herrick's blows were powerful. But Keith quickly kicked him away, putting distance from him,
"Don't you dare try to run away!" Herrick was going to dash at him again. But before he could,
A sword was in his face! Tennol had a cold stare as he directed it to Herrick,
"Student Herrick, it seems you don't understand the hierarchy here," He was the instructor. How dare he do something like this on his watch? Was he looking to die?
"Hmpf," Herrick backed off when he heard that.
But he stared at Keith, "The strong feed on the weak! That's how the world works! I don't accept people who are weaker than me!" Herrick walked back to the students and sat down. Keith got up and brushed off the dirt from his clothes.
He returned to Carolyn and the rest,
"Keith, are you okay?"
"I'm fine. Just a little annoyed," Herrick's attack was something if he wasn't prepared.
Tennol stared at everyone, "Everyone, this is practice. There is no need to go full force. I don't care if you're a prince or a princess. Pull a stunt like that again, and you will be out. Do you all understand?"
"Understood!" The students nodded when they heard that.
Tennol continued, "I will call up two other students to do it."
More students came up to show the throw. It didn't take long before class ended.
"Keith, are you sure you're okay?" Carolyn questioned. She was still worried about what happened.
Keith nodded, "Don't worry about it. I'm fine." After class, the three headed off to the cafeteria. But the others were worried about him.
"Are you sure?"
"Of course, Carolyn's throw did more damage than Herrick's stunt," Keith laughed.
"Hey!" Carolyn raised her fist, ready to fight. The three entered the cafeteria, and they spotted Tristan. He had gotten his lunch.
"I got our seats," This was the usual now. Tristan would find seats for them.
"You guys go get your food. Keith and I will be saving your spot,"
"Gotcha!" Like that, Carolyn and the two walked to the line to get lunch. When they left, Tristan's expression turned stern, "Keith, I need to talk to you about something."
"Hmm? What do you want to talk about?" Keith tilted his head,
"There are some talks about you being this year's representative as a fluke," Tristan answered.
"Hmm?" Fluke?
Keith laughed, "I don't know if you can call it a fluke. But I don't understand why I was chosen as the representative either," He didn't understand either. That was because there were a lot of students. They were all talented. But he was the one who was chosen.
That was a surprise.
Tristan's expression dropped, "Get serious about this. Do you understand the importance of being the representative of the year?"
"No, I don't." Keith shook his head. Isn't it a normal thing?
Tristan blinked a few times, "No one told you about it?"
"No."
"Ugh." Tristan sighed as he clutched his head.
"Is there something the matter with it?" Keith questioned.
"The jist is that as the representative, you represent your entire grade. But you have been doing subpar. Some people are questioning if this batch of students are weak."
"Oh," Keith clapped his hand.
"Can you be more surprised?"
"But why should I care about what others think about me?" Keith was never the type to care about it.
"..." Tristan looked down. His words weren't getting through to him. Tristan was going to explain more, but Carolyn and the others returned.
"What's the matter, Brother?" Carolyn stared at Tristan. His expression was something.
"Carolyn, I think I'm going to get a headache," Tristan could feel his head hurting.
"Keith, what did you do?" Carolyn stared at Keith. He was the culprit. But Keith shook his head,
"I did nothing," He asked me questions. How did I cause him to get a headache? That was not his fault!
