Volume 3.5 Chapter 5:
It didn't take long for Keith to arrive at the classroom. He was the first one there. Guess I should read a book to pass my time. He took out a book and started to read.
As Keith saw people entering the classroom, he did the usual,
"Good morning," Keith raised his hand. It was the elf princess Alfia. Her aide, Faelyn, was next to her. But what Keith got in return was the cold shoulder.
Keith scratched his head. This was going to keep happening. And the next person who entered the classroom was the dragon priestess.
"Good morning," Keith greeted her.
"Mmhmm," That was the only greeting he got. Keith smiled and continued to greet the people entering the room.
Before long, Carolyn entered the class,
"Good morning, Carolyn."
"Morning," Carolyn smiled. She was one of the few who returned the greeting. "Did you greet everyone again?"
"How you know?"
"Because some of them have weird expressions," Carolyn stated. She could tell from their expression.
"And you got shrugged off again," Carolyn shook her head. She could tell what happened next.
Keith scratched his head. Carolyn questioned, "Why do you keep doing it?" She found it odd.
"Just want to." He always thought that greeting people was a good way to make friends. One by one, more people came in. It didn't take long before Aidiun entered the classroom,
"Good morning, class."
"There's going to be a lot of things being discussed today. But let's get one matter out of the way. Keith," Aidiun turned to look at Keith.
"You understand you shouldn't have run out of the classroom, right?"
"I know," Keith scratched his head. He did run out of the classroom without a moment of hesitation.
"Don't do it again in the future," Aidiun smiled.
"Understood," Keith nodded. He knew Aidiun was giving him a warning. He understood why Keith ran out of the room like that.
"Anyways, I need to tell you all something important," Aidiun stated with a serious expression.
"You guys will be choosing your main courses for the next four years,"
"Main courses?" Some understood, while others didn't.
Aidiun explained, "Our academy makes you select your main courses. It will be focused on what you want. The popular ones are General Studies, Knight Training, and Magic Training. There are many others. But I expect you all to choose a main course by the end of the week."
"Understood!" The students nodded. The process seemed simple enough.
Keith and the rest went to martial arts class. Once he got dressed, Sarah walked up to him, "Keith, I heard you were sick. Are you okay now?"
"Mmhmm, I feel fine now!" Keith smiled. But Sarah looked worried, "You should be more careful,"
"You said the same thing as Carolyn," Keith laughed. But Carolyn smacked his back, "That's because you're a hardhead."
"I'm not," Keith shook his head.
But Gabriel added, "You are."
"Am I really?!" Keith was in disbelief before Tennol entered the class, "Good afternoon. Today, I will be teaching you a technique."
"This is going to be interesting,"
"A technique by the Tennol!"
Everyone was excited. But Tennol shook his head, "Calm down. I will be teaching you a simple throwing technique. But first, I would need a partner. How about it, Keith?"
"Sure," Keith didn't mind as he got up. He was a little excited to learn a new move.
"Try to throw a punch at me," Tennol instructed.
"Understood," Keith nodded as he threw a punch at Tennol! But when he did that, Tennol stepped in and grabbed his hand. The next second, he tossed him over his shoulder!
"This is the move I will be teaching. It's a simple technique. But it's versatile and can be used any time." Tennol explained.
"Do you guys understand?"
"Mmhmm!"
"Now, pick out a partner to do this with!" It was the student's turn to practice it.
"Keith! Let's do it together!" Carolyn declared. But Keith made a strange expression,
"Are you sure?"
"What? Do you not want to do it with me?" Carolyn questioned.
"I don't mind. But are you sure you're going to be okay with this?"
"Of course! Let's do this!" Carolyn pumped her hands.
