"What do you mean you don't have the kid's phone number?! You're the first person out of everyone who had it!" Bai Geming was confused.

"I've been calling the kid non-stop! But he's not responding to me at all!" Huang Muyang roared out in anger. He couldn't believe it! What was wrong with this kid?!

"Oh great, then you're useless!" If Huang Muyang didn't have Lu Chen's phone number, he was worthless.

"What are we going to do now?" Bai Geming grabbed his head. The only way they had to contact Lu Chen was down the drain.

Bai Xiaoqing suggested, "Grandfather, how about we go to him instead of calling him." If they couldn't call him, the other thing to do was to go to him.

"You want us to go to the Lu manor?" Bai Ling questioned.

"No, I'm talking about ARCS."

"Huh? You mean the company the kid's in?"

"Mmhmm." Bai Xiaoqing nodded, "I'll go ask Yanmei about this."

"Oh, the Song girl. She was with the kid at the party." Bai Geming remembered. They should have asked her first.

"Xiaoqing, what's the matter?" Song Yanmei picked up the call. It was a surprise. She and Bai Xiaoqing weren't close, but they weren't strangers.

"Ahh, I was wondering if you could get a hold of Lu Chen."

"Yes, I can." Song Yanmei said calmly.

Bai Xiaoqing's face brightened, "Nothing. Also, do you know where ARCS is?"

"Hmm? Why do you need to go to ARCS?" Song Yanmei was suspicious as she asked.

"I have something to talk about with Lu Chen."

"Oh, if you're looking for ARCS, you could search it up."

"I see. Thank you." Bai Xiaoqing closed the call. Bai Ling asked,

"Xiaoqing, why are we going to ARCS instead of the Lu manor? Isn't he just a model?"

Bai Xiaoqing shook her head and explained, "Lu Chen isn't a model at the company. He's actually the CEO of the company."  She remembered what Song Yanmei told her during the party.

Bai Geming and Bai Ling's eyes turned wide.

My one pet peeve with this novel; Pacing issues. Liao Yan was dumped in the warehouse by Lu Chen in chapter 577. We are now on chapter 593, and it feels like nothing has happened since chapter 577 -- we have seen various members of the Bai family talk with each other about Liao Yan and Bai Lei's disappearance. We had a brief interlude where Lu Chen helped Feng Meifeng, but they had no meaningful communication regarding their relationship. If I am reading this correctly, a MONTH has passed since Liao Yan was abducted by Lu Chen. In that month of time, there have been no movements by Long Shen. Lu Chen has not expanded his business beyond apparently deciding to hire some folks, but we know nothing about any of those people so far, except that they are not fit to assist Duan Huiling. 10 of the last 12 chapters have all begun with a comment by a member of the Bai family, but all they have done is talk about finding Liao Yan. Most of the last FOUR chapters have been the Bai Family talking about how to get in touch with Lu Chen. It took both of today's chapters just to establish that they would not be able to reach him by phone.

You're tunneling too much on Lu Chen and Long Shen. For this scene, I focused more on the Bai family's deterioration from the Liao family in these 10-12 chapters. The chapters were about how the Liao family's scheme and the stunts Liao Yan pulled being found out by the Bai family. Also, you are right on the phone call chapter being too long, I did not expect it to be 4 chapters either XD. Planned to be two, but kinda went overboard XP.
