Thank you!! (And a word of safety advice) (Patreon)

Hey everyone,

Getting close to the end of the month and I just wanted to send out a quick video with a huge THANK YOU for being part of the Texturelabs Patreon! As you likely know, at the end of this month, the project will shift entirely off of Patreon. It's a bittersweet moment - however, as mentioned in the video, it’s not goodbye - just a goodbye to the Patreon platform.

I'll follow up at the end of the week before pulling the Patreon circuit breaker, but here's what to anticipate as the month wraps up this Friday, Dec 1st:

  • Billing for Patreon will be deactivated, so you won’t be billed in December (or thereafter).
  • The updated website will be pushed live, which has no connectivity with Patreon. In the future, anyone looking for a bonus project file, template or plugin, can get it right there on the Texturelabs site.
  • To be clear, there won’t be any paid subscription element to Texturelabs. I’ll be back at it on the YouTube channel though - which is, of course, free to subscribe to!
  • Plus, I’ll still be in touch with all the latest and greatest from the lab - I’m just going to export the mailing list from Patreon and it’ll go out from Texturelabs instead - easy.

You can always get me by email - texturelabsorg@gmail.com and I’m really going to try to be more active on Instagram and everywhere else. I'll touch base again at the end of the week, and again, thank you!!

Hi Brady, the resources you’ve created are now such an essential part of my toolkit that when a job doesn’t involve me delving into my Texturelabs folder I’m a little disappointed. The quality is superb, and not just in the images themselves but in details like the keywords which make it quick and easy to sort the archive in Bridge. And the value is far beyond what I’ve paid, so along with the disappointment comes a lurking guilt that I’m stealing such a good deal, and from a such an obviously decent guy too. I have no doubt that your new direction will be a success and I’m looking forward to seeing what else you come up with. Good luck with it all!

Hi! I stumbled upon one of your tutorials and seems I showed up a bit too late to get the files from the website. Just when I pledged my subscription realized that the patreon was over as of today lol (not a problem at all <3) however where could I get the tutorial files? The link from patreon to the site doesn't seem to be active even tho I log as a patron. Thanks in advance, keep up your amazing work!

Hey Kit! Oh yikes, yup you caught the Patreon at the every last moment! Uh oh, if the Patreon link isn't working, I'm afraid it sometimes takes a few hours and I am just a few hours from pushing the entire update to the site that won't link with Patreon at all... I think the easiest route would be this - I'm going to hit the refund button on your Patreon account, and do you want to just shoot me an email and let me know what project file or files you were looking for? Philip, thank you so much man! I love hearing that the Texturelabs stuff gets so much use. That's the name of the game. And nice note about Bridge sorting - I'm guessing you mean with the lossless files - I only recently realized the meta didn't get passed to many of the jpegs and I'm gonna add it to all of em. Super handy right? Anyways, always nice to hear from ya. Keep in touch, for real!
