Hey everyone,

Well I set myself the deadline to get this tutorial wrapped this week.. right down to the wire (you know the feeling), but it’s done!

This thing was a beast. It’s a great After Effects project though - a fairly straightforward project in Photoshop, but in After Effects I’d label this as advanced. But that's when things get interesting!

Note: Part of the reason this took so long was that I wanted to build out an epic template with a bunch of bonus features. Makes the whole thing easy. Even if you end up building the project yourself, be sure to check that out - I know I’m gonna end up using it A LOT. (Attached below for AE 2022+)

A handful of new textures I’m going to focus on uploading this weekend, plus a few notes and ideas I want to share and bounce off of you. I’ll put together a monthly update - setting myself the deadline to get that out by the end of next week :)

Hope this finds you well. Let me know what you think of the video!

Cheers,

Brady

Hey! Any shot you could provide the animation template? If not do you by any chance know of any good tutorial that teaches how to build a similar animation to the one you made for the motorcycle shot?

Hey there! Sure I'll post the project file and a link to it. I tried to number the compositions to make the project setup a little easier to get a sense of - browsing through it, check out comp 01, then 02, then 03, etc, that'll probably help to see how it's built. In regard to tutorials, nothing that I know of off the top of my head. The main techniques used are the roto brush, the camera tracker, and then a fairly straightforward 3d composition with one camera. So having a good sense of those three things is most of it! The tricky part wasn't so much technical, but just tinkering with it endlessly to try to make it look cool :) Here's the project file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WHI18_5yeVfnDlZVluYAM2TiOqF5hb7a/view?usp=drive_link Note: There's one font dependency - it' called Guardians and I think it was free on the dafont website. Hope that helps. Cheers, Brady

Hey there! Thanks for this! It's amazing! I have a question, With the pixelate Controls, I tried to change the Style to one of the others, such as Matrix, space invaders, dot array etc, but it has no effect. Is there something I am missing?

Hey! Any chance you're running After Effects in a language other than English? I've found that throws off some of the expressions - I do have an updated version here that will fix it. Perhaps the expressions in this one are a bit more universal to different versions of AE as well.... Give it a shot, and let me know if it solves the issue if you get a chance! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1auKanhsefenZckBBgOaLRXCqY6cHX4Ed/view?usp=drive_link
