Is playing guitar easy or hard in your opinion?

Shhh, don't tell anyone that it took you 69 minutes to finger that fancy g string lick....

Of course we want our playing to appear effortless to others...as if we're just natural six string GODS

That's a lie tho. Endless hours of toil and practice goes into our craft

Honestly, most axe grinders just end up quitting eventually. It all comes down to one simple reason....you're not having FUN!

Playing with your wood should be enjoyable. By creating a social media scrolling effect in my new HOW TO PLAY GUITAR course below, you actually have a good time

I went from one instrument to another. Guitar didn't necessarily stop being fun, I just had more fun elsewhere. But I'd say for most of us the difficulty of learning any instrument is directly proportional to how proficient you want to be. To learn a few chords here and there for around the camp fire, 15 to 30 minutes a day is probably fine. But if you want to become truly proficient, the instrument becomes difficult. Some folks have more natural talent, that's true. But the vast majority of us have to put in hours/days/years of hard graft to get anywhere that approaches "making it look easy".

Alot of the times I feel I don't have talent bc I see other guitarist pick it up without any difficulties. There's a saying about how we don't see the hours, and days people invest in when it comes to being great at their craft. We only see their success. This keeps me going bc behind every great guitarist is a dedication and commitment to mastering the guitar. If we want to be great at something we have to put in the time and it can be a struggle but that's part of the journey.
