I've simplified the process into a few basic steps that guarantee HUGE RESULTS every time. I laugh when I hear people talking about waiting to get inspired, or getting LUCKY with a riff or song. Here's the truth....Creativity is like a muscle. The more you exercise it, the more developed it becomes.

My approach is simple, yet powerful. I honestly can't believe no one else on the internet is teaching this muhahaha. In fact, I could sit down right now and churn out a bunch of riffs on command. I'm not saying they'd all be level 666 bangers but they'ed work just fine for a song. It shouldn't take you months to come up with something good. Using math and science, I've analyzed the specific process guys like Dave Mustaine use to compose.....it's not what you think. Once you learn it, you'll recognize it in literally every hit song. It's right there, smacking you in the face!!! So what exactly are these Riff Writing Secrets?

To write a great riff, first you must have a key center.....Metal bands often use their low E string. This is the essence of tonality itself....DO NOT SKIP THIS. This goes all the way back to Pythagorus and the Music Of The Spheres concept. It's the core bedrock of STRING THEORY in Physics. Once you have your main pitch, it's time to choose a scale. This creates the tonal framework that supports our riff. Metal bands often choose darker sounding scales like Phrygian or Locrian. Next you need some cool power chords to flesh out the modal character you're trying to convey. This isn't as hard as it sounds, trust me. The trick is to move the chords in a cool way....and this is what I call COUNTERPOINT....also known as the C WORD. Pretty much no one in rock and metal knows what counterpoint is....but they all use it subconsciously.

By being aware of these variables, you can manipulate musical structures on a level you never THOT possible. By using my techniques, you can literally sit down and write a ton of riffs with little effort. It's just a formula that decodes the creative process. Stop thinking songwriting is some super magical process....it's really not. I know guitar gods like Ritchie Blackmore conduct seances and stuff to get inspired but I assure that's not necessary.
