If you consider yourself a guitar player, YOU MUST KNOW THESE SCALES!

There's no way around it....start with the Major Scale, which is the foundation of all western music. Next move onto the much cooler sounding Minor Scale by lowering the 3rd, 6th and 7th.

If you wanna be a LEAD LORD, check out the five magical notes in the Minor Pentatonic Scale. Megadeth's Dave Mustaine, Metallica's Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Dimebag Darrell from Pantera....EVERYONE uses this scale.

If you're into classical music, you must learn LORD BACH'S favorite scale, the Harmonic Minor Scale. That raised 7th degree is EVERYTHING.

Melodic Minor is common in Jazz music, raising the 6th and 7th degree.

It's imperative that you practice scales using my 3 SECRET KEYS 🔑

 -Pedal Tones

-Chords

-Counterpoint

Using the E Dorian Mode, use the high E open string as a tonal reference point to absorb the sound. The primary chords for E Dorian are Em and A....I promise you'll just make a mess unless you understand the harmonic context of a given scale.

Finally, true riff lords a "C WORD" masters of Counterpoint. Being able to move melodic lines around the fretboard skillfully is essential. Full tabs below muhahaha
