The first METAL SONG ever is Gustav Holst's "Mars The Bringer Of War." Written in 1914, portions of the piece have been emulated by Black Sabbath in their song, "Black Sabbath." Diamond Head and Metallica also coped riffs from the piece in "Am I Evil." Yes I am muhahaha....Along the way I'll be pointing out some of the music theory used in the composition. Get a full copy of the tab and original score below. Who knows, maybe you'll write the next great metal song by stealing one of these riffs.  So grab your axe and follow along muhahaha

Shred, this was a phenomenal orchestral performance that you definitely enhanced with the music theory behind the composition and about the composer. This literally made my day that much better. Shred til’ you’re dead.🤘

One of the best classical pieces of all time. Or maybe I'm biased because of the euphonium solo. XD You blew my mind describing the chords Holst used as power chords.
