Power Metal Etude (Patreon)

Here's a short power metal etude I wrote, focusing on alternate picking, palm muting and scale runs. Take note of the dominant harmony sequence at the end, alternating between Gm and A chords to build tension. You don't have to play lots of different chords in a song. Needed variation comes through playing the same chords with different voicings and inversions.
I've been writing a lot of riffs recently to get ideas for my new album and I kinda like the meat and potatoes power metal sound. Symphonic elements as well as a little thrash influence to spice things up.
