One of my favorite classical guitar exercises....written by Mauro Giuliani (1781-1829). In the key of A minor. I love the substitutions and smooth lines navigating through diminished chords.

Can you help me analyze this further Scott I really have an incomplete understanding of theory is Mauro hinting at E major in the second measure as the scale comes down before resolving back to the i? Then transposes to e harmonic minor before the second line then hints at d harmonic minor when the b flat to c# resolves to d and so on. Like I don’t understand substitutions. I can read a piece and play it just fine. Where can I find explanations of this smooth voice leading for a dummy? Thanks for the awesome lessons btw
